I am sorry you have been feeling low. Caring is very hard work and you do so much else. Its not surprising you get low sometimes. I know what what you mean about wanting the house to yourself for a bit. I live for Mr LHs festival weeks - well 3 and 2 1/2 days. It is bliss. Its such a shame that mr SA seems to refuse to anything but watch TV and make a mess.

I might be speaking out of turn, but you don't seem to get much help from immediate family. We know his sister is perhaps not worth it as she stirs but your son and daughter could offer you at least a day a month surely between them. I know they have jobs and family but he's their dad and you're their mum. Would they take him for some agreed days or is it just that he refuses. Understand if you don't want to go there. I felt so sorry about how low you were. You work so hard.5

Oh no, I wonder who you were? Maybe someone famous like Mary I or the witch finder general? 🤭 It’s nice to have a claim to fame 😁

Sorry to hear about your grandson SA. That must be so hard for DS and his wife. ☹️
I feel annoyed for you about Mr SA's sister - it seems from your other posts that she has a lot to say for herself about how Mr SA should be managed, but shies away from any practical help.I'm glad you're meeting your pal on Monday and hope you have a really nice few hours. 😘Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Another weekend almost gone 🙁
The weather was awful first thing then the sun came out late morning and it was lovely and sunny.Got quite a bit of gardening done. Planted lots of bulbs and tried to fill the garden waste bin with clippings and weeds as they’re emptying it on Tuesday.Sorted out the books I’ve got for tomorrow’s meet with my book swap friend - have 10 for her. In more decluttering found another handbag to go in the charity bag plus put 2 workout tops past their best in the clothes recycling bag.Made a batch of roast butternut squash, red onion, red pepper and tomato soup for work lunches. Tonight’s dinner was tofu stir fry.The dog has had a good run on the park this morning. After lunch decided to go to Lid! to pick up the things I planned to get tomorrow as I’m thinking of getting the bus home if my friend has a lot of books for me. Took Mr SA and the dog so the dog got another walk and I put the shopping on Mr SA’s scooter. Bumped into a neighbour on the way back so had a nice chat with her.Mr SA has been quite well behaved until he shouted me when I was running a bath to ask for snacks to tide him over until dinner 😐 I made him wait until I was back downstairs.Exercise has been just over 21,000 steps.I was hoping to get some time in the sun in my hanging chair but ran out of time 😕I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Jeez! Mr SA reminds me of a demanding cuckoo chick!

I hope the book swap went well?
thank you for the banana bread link, this time I weighed the bananas and needed the extra one. I suspect skimping on the banana has been the problem before. V nice indeedMy mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I had a lovely catch up with my friend. Took her 10 books and came home with 8. I can’t believe we were chatting for 3 hours! Didn’t get home until 5. I really miss working with her, we got on really well. She retired early a couple of years ago.Had a couple of sarky comments from Mr SA about me being out “gallivanting” again which received a very sharp response from me 🤬 I hate how he begrudges me time to myself, I’ve made it clear I couldn’t cope with him without these catch ups with friends to look forward to.
Exercise has been 20,000 steps walking to/from work.Tonight’s dinner was jacket potato with homemade coleslaw, cheese and salad. I buy the vegan garlic mayonnaise from Lidl as I don’t do eggs and it’s really nice.Noticed the VM direct debit has gone up by £22 a month with no notice. However on checking the contract the offer ran for 18 months and finished last month so the new price is correct. Time for another What’s App battle with them to haggle costs down or look for a better deal elsewhere.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
