We have always had condenser dryers and in addition to making life a bit easier they also result in the softest fluffiest bath towels. 🛁

I’m terrible and use my drier year around. I struggle hanging washing out. It’s something that makes my life easier and for now I consider the ease versus cost battle. Ease is winning. It’s something I can reassess if things ever get too difficult money wise. But for now ease it is 👍
I think the same applies for yourself….different reasons - same argument 👍January spends - £587.583 -
Maybe you could get a shortlist of two and ask Mr SA to 'research' and decide so he feels a bit less powerless and maybe stops playing up so much for a wee while?4

Definitely get a tumble drier. I use ours as little as possible but it is a lifesaver in the bad weather, and too much wet washing hanging around isn't healthy.Making the debt go down and savings go up

Great idea on the tumble drier - and will probably be better for the house as well as it will reduce the time that damp stuff is hanging around.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

We put our washing on a rack then the day after put it in the condensing tumbler. It always comes up as 1 hour 45 mins as a starting point but the works its magic sensor and is generally finished in 30 mins.
always put it on for the cupboard dry top level.

Wouldn't be without our washer/dryer.
We hang washing out to dry when we can but wash and dry the rest of the time.
It's more convenience for us to be able to come home to a load of washed and dried clothing that we can just put away.2 -
In money news, I should get a free drink in the pub tonight as I'd forgotten I'd downloaded their app. Something made me look at it today and there's a voucher for a free drink, no other purchase required, that expires in the next few days sitting there.
Have also re-jigged the spending budget pots. I've combined the food/alcohol/household/toiletries pots as when I do the big shop and any top ups shops I have to sit there separating out items on the receipt and it was over-complicating the process for me. I really don't have time to start debating whether tonic water should be classed as alcohol or food 🤣 I will then split it by 4 for a total to stick to each week with an aim to underspend. Anything left over at the end of the 4 week budget period will go into the stock up shop pot. If it doesn't work I can always change it back. I've given the personal spends and entertainment pots a small pay rise 😆 I've also created a separate pot for house/garden as plants and bits were being taken from the household pot and depleting it. I like to have a shake up now and again although it's still exactly the same amount of money overall just split differently. Anything left in the other pots will go into a bigger version of the pots sitting in a savings account for future reference.
Received a mini Try It campaign parcel to review this morning. Don't get too excited it was one single sachet of cat food.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8
