Just popping in to say thank you for posting the above link - I made it for lunch and it's delicious, if much hotter than I expected! Definitely a keeper.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -
And really useful, I had planned on scrolling back to find the courgette soup.
That said, have you posted the banana bread? I make nasty lumps of soggy lead when I try but I have seven tired banananananas to use in something. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

The banana bread went down well. I love to eat a banana but really don’t like it as an ingredient in anything else. 🤷🏻♀️ don’t know what that’s all about 😂January spends - £587.581

Happy Friday 🥳
Worked in the office today and just did 6 hours as usual for Friday. I tend to do extra hours Monday to Thursday so use some of the flexi for a shorter day on Friday.Mr SA cheesed me off big time last night and I was feeling very down this morning. He is very challenging to look after and I really don’t need the stress. It might sound trivial to some but it was a stand off over how many cans of beer he’d sneakily had. He had been cutting down and I ended up having to hide it and giving him a set amount each night so we don’t have a repeat of the falls at night. As I suspected he has found the hiding place and has been sneaking a couple of extra cans. I hope this doesn’t make me sound like a control freak but I’m doing it for his benefit.I had lots of stress with DS and DD when they were teenagers. They have both grown up and got over themselves only to be replaced by Mr SA 😞
It might sound trivial but I really don’t want a repeat of the ambulance debacle. I thought I was winning this battle.I was on the verge of tears this morning at work but managed to keep calm. I really felt like throwing the towel in with caring responsibilities.Anyway I’ve picked myself up and dusted myself down. Also a challenging situation at work regarding new IT systems not fit for purpose is being looked into. I complained several times, my comments have been taken seriously and I’ve received an apology for the poor service.Had a bit of a wander around town on my way home from work and picked up the free W@it rose paper and Mr T food magazine.Stopped off at Lid! on the way home.
Had an hour in my hanging chair reading my book in the sunshine ☀️
Today’s exercise has been 22,281 steps.Tonight’s dinner was a salmon fish cake from freezer stocks with steamed vegetables.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)8 -
Totally understandable SA.its not good for anyone to drink every day, without adding a brain injury to the mix. It sounds like he searches the house while you are out. I guess you need to keep them somewhere very high or very low?Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

It must keep him busy for hours 😅 How about putting empties in front, then it will be impossible to get to the full ones without leaving a mess and evidence? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Does DD know he is restricted. I wondered if he may be asking her to reach them for him.

I suspect Mr SA would find a way as he seems very determined when he wants something.
Being a carer is hard work and wanting to throw the towel in at points is understandable.
