  • Good luck with the decluttering. I sorted out my pop sock drawer today in readiness for the autumn/winter. A few pairs were looking a bit threadbareish, but no holes. I was going to put them in the bin but thought I'll take them up to DD's in Scotland when I next go at Christmas - which is very rural and I don't particularly care what I look like when tramping along the lanes!

I ended up decluttering a couple of cupboards in the kitchen.

A bit of a shock in the WW world as a poster on the app forums turned out to be not someone you want to be associated with. It’s been on the news https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/weight-watchers-group-horrified-learn-33593588

I had read her posts but never interacted. Just goes to show 😞

you should check out Ol!o if you are after a good declutter SA - I’ve done a proper life laundry on there and you would be amazed what local people will collect off you.

I’ve gotten rid of unused charity bags, glass jars w lids, old newspapers / publications, old towels that are in poor condition, broken down power tools, rusty manual tools & broken crockery (there is a mosaic artist who collects broken crockery from me regularly) The list is endless.

Last time I checked I’d given away over 300 items to local folk who collected from me over the last year. And collected about 12 myself including a almost new Sh@rk klick steam mop (retail £100 min)

theres no delivery allowed on Ol!o keeps it local and its a good way to meet people too. And it’s free.

Most people think it’s an app only for preventing food waste but it’s not. Also I have a ol!o box that I can leave collection items in if its not convenient for me.

Edit to add - shocker on that article - don’t think they are allowed to be posting online - wonder if that’s the reason for the recall?

I seem to remember reading that they are useful as bags or ties for keeping small items together in your luggage. I've not tried it but I think it might work.

  • Ooh pop socks, takes me back many years. Didn't realise you can still get them.

I still call them pop socks - They seem to be called knee or ankle highs these days!😂
I like them better than real socks with trainers and boots. I have the nylon sort for spring/summer and use the black opaque for autumn winter.

Just popping in to say thank you for posting the above link - I made it for lunch and it's delicious, if much hotter than I expected! Definitely a keeper. :)
