They are so easy to grow. When settled I will be growing them as I love the flowers and the different colours...enough on my affection for the courgette, don't get me started on cauliflower!!
Thanks @jwil really pleased with my fancy £1.75 salad spinner. Glad you don't think 5% under listed price is cheeky.
I've been here before, but back again thinking about a holiday I booked before lockdown. I paid £200 that I will lose if I don't take the trip this year. It will still cost another £440. Add on flights and it is nearer £600 left to spend. It is a big deposit to lose...I need to decide as I need to book flights...I think I'd rather have the £600 saved to the housing costs...anyone else lost a big deposit for a holiday in a similar way?
Today I plan:
swim
shopping centre (yuck) to buy leggings for new yoga class
order study books
send a parcel abroad
send a payment (K)
decide about holiday
phone EA
Wishing you all a good day

@doingitanyway could you shift the destination so flights aren't necessary? It wouldn't be the same holiday but unless you desperately need the break (understandable if you do!) I'd be tempted to lose 200. Or perhaps there's another adjustment you could agree with the holiday company? There isn't any prospect of money back, is there? Many travel companies are being criticised over their stance on this and are having to pay back money for trips boojed then. It might help if you paid using a credit card? Love Humdinger xx3

Difficult one. I’d lose 200 rather than spend 440 I can’t afford though but I’m sure it’s not that easy3

I also would lose the £200 rather than pay more that you don't want to. However, I'd exhaust every possible avenue trying to recoup some of the cash - as well as pushing for a refund via the holiday company, is there any option of 'selling' the holiday to someone else?"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Thank you all for helping
It confirms what I was thinking. Today they sent the email invoice. On top of everything else they have increased the price by another £100. It is really hard to let go! I obviously can't afford it. Funnily enough I thought it was expensive for what it was to start with, but back then I thought I could afford it...I'm annoyed with myself but there it is, not going. I will be seeking out a cheaper week at my 'mates rates' country cottage
@Humdinger1 I can't shift location as it isn't that sort of holiday. No prospect of money back so you are right, it is a no.
@crazy_cat_lady you put it well. And the 440 is now 540 without adding on flights...
@Redo it is the same deal you experienced, no refund. Gulp.
@jwil it is a small concern with a niche product. I don't know anyone willing to pay the price even with the deposit accounted for.
I had a success in getting screen mirroring turned off. I found it irritating and a little strange...
I found some comfortable active wear. It was hard to find something I liked. Got online in the end. There was a small reduction...
The pain of paying my cc was worth it when I saw it clear this month.
I went to view the house I really like that was making me edgy. So, a long day. I spent £45 on food and fares. Sigh. I already saw the house with the previous agent unknown to them. It was good to see it again. EA phoned me when I was on the train. I've put in my best offer (5% below asking) Whatever happens I'm please with myself for being proactive
I hope everyone is ok
