Thanks @savingholmes the trip isn't until the end of Sept so a while to go yet.
I still haven't heard re a viewing appointment.
Reading across the threads perhaps offering 5% below asking isn't so cheeky after all?

So, today I had a financial sorting out session. Increased the monthly payment to the exploitative storage company. Set up a few new SOs. Paid off a few things that needed paying off. Paid some money to saving, not enough and hoping to find another few hundred pounds during August.

I have a beauty account that I shared details of on here. Rather than spend money on a present for my housemate I am going to use the saved funds in the account to buy her a present. I am also buying my DM a present using the account. I am going to be in town this week so will try to pop into a gallery, shop, and later I will be going to a book launch party.

I made a delicious courgette, spinach and potato soup today. Courgettes are on offer at Mr L so I am buying lots of them 

I bought a salad spinner today. It is very well designed and compact. Keeping salad veggies dry stops them from decaying so quickly and I need my R veg box to last as long as possible! I had a IK£A one that was huge and cumbersome so I sent it a cs. This one cost me £1.75 I looked up this one and it retails for £32 so a good buy  

A good, productive day for me

Ha even Lidl has a courgette glut.

If you keep salad veg like spinach leaves in water in the fridge they last a week or more.

Thanks @WelshmansDaughter I love this time of year as I would eat courgettes every day if I could. I think veg lasts longer left in the dirt they grow in, wrapped in newspaper and washed when they are needed...

I think I need to rethink my opinion of courgettes! I never know what to do with them and had a few bad experiences with them a long time ago (eating out) which put me off so much that I have never cooked with them myself. I’m going to look up some recipes and have a go as you’re all making me think I must be missing something 😁

I'm not a huge fan of courgettes, though will eat them.

I don't think 5% is a cheeky offer at all, I think it's reasonable.
