@beamerguy the original parking charge seems to have been £75 but reduced to £45 if paid within 14 days, however you are correct, the dcbl ticket is for £160. On the dcbl letter there is no explanation as to why the ticket is now £160. Just a letter demanding that amount.

Reading back on your posts, all you have is a 14 days begging letter and not an LBA.

This is very close to the 6 year time out (5 years in Scotland)

Wait to see if you get a letter before claim giving you 30 days, then we will tell you what to do so these tickets can time out

Do I now have to put in multiple SARs for each of the PCN numbers?
I would put one email with each of the reference numbers of the missing PCN data, but tell them that you expected all these to be included via your original SAR. Given the time that has elapsed, they have 7 days in which to provide all the information they have about you. Failure to meet the deadline will result in a formal complaint to the ICO. Carry out your threat if they fail.
    Thanks Umkomaas,

I’ve now sent my response, be interesting to see what they come back with

    Have you read this?

    Excel v Wilkinson

At the Bradford County Court, District Judge Claire Jackson (now HHJ Jackson, a Specialist Civil Circuit Judge) decided to hear a 'test case' a few months ago, where £60 had been added to a parking charge despite Judges up and down the country repeatedly disallowing that sum and warning parking firms not to waste court time with such spurious claims.   That case was Excel v Wilkinson: G4QZ465V, heard in July 2020 and leave to appeal was refused and that route was not pursued.  The Judge concluded that such claims are proceedings with 'an improper collateral purpose'.   This Judge - and others who have since copied her words and struck dozens of cases out in late 2020 and into 2021 - went into significant detail and concluded that parking operators (such as this Claimant) are seeking to circumvent CPR 27.14 as well as breaching the Consumer Rights Act 2015.   DJ Hickinbottom has recently struck more cases out in that court area, stating: ''I find that striking out this claim is the only appropriate manner in which the disapproval of the court can be shown''.

You are meant to be replying on day 28 to each DCBL Recovery letter to try to get past the 6 year limitation:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6263782/dcbl-final-notice-of-recovery#latest

same as all the zillions of other exact same threads right now.  That's just one.

Time it out with slow replies TO EVERY LETTER ON THE LAST DAY and you can't be sued.  No questions about that please...we are literally drowning in this batch of same old 2015 cases and you can learn all your need to know from reading other threads from this month about the same thing.

    DCBL and Yasmin Mia ?

WHO IS YASMIN MIA .... the person who signs a statement of truth on behalf  of DCBL

YASMIN MIA ... is she REAL ?  If she is, then why is she signing a "statement of truth" that damages are being claimed   IT IS NOT TRUE ?

WHAT DAMAGES ??  ... DCBL ARE CLAIMING A FAKE AMOUNT FOR A FAKE REASON

THE PENALTY YASMIN MIA CAN FACE .....  CONTEMPT OF COURT

DCBL letters ..... forum group thread

We are seeing a lot of debt collector letters from DCBL acting for UKPC.
DCBL are chasing old parking tickets and at the same time adding an unlawful amount
We do not want thread after thread on the same subject so those receiving these letters can join together and fully understand

THE NEWBIES THREAD is of course the first step to read. Thereafter use this group thread so we can contain everything here

Please understand these very important points
1: If the letter gives you 14 days to pay it is a debt collector letter which you can ignore

2: If the letter states "Letter before claim" which must give you 30 days to respond tell us and we will assist on your next step

3: All letters from DCBL mention "this case is not subject to high court of bailiff actions" ?
Of course it's not, it needs to go to county court first and for DCBL to win and even then the judge will say when the amount must be paid.  Once paid as instructed there is NO CCJ and of course their will be no bailiffs.  THIS IS JUST SCARE MONGERING HOPING YOU WILL PAY.

4: Will DCBL win chasing up old tickets ?  Their chances are very low and when you win, you can claim costs.  Consider this, with the sheer amount of these letters being sent, if they became court claims, it would block the court system for months, maybe years.
The letters are designed to scare, hoping people will will pay.  Nobody can remember these old tickets and even a judge would not remember what he/she did years ago

DO NOT PAY ON RECEIPT OF A 14 DAY DEBT COLLECTOR LETTER regardless of what they say. NEVER MAKE CONTACT

DCBL letters demand a reply ... NOT TO DCBL but a SAR to UKPC to provide the information they hold on you. UKPC are legally obliged to reply

Hello, i may have missed something but wanted to confirm if possible please. I have received a letter from DCBL stating "i have failed to pay or respond to previous letters...Client now commencing legal action... £160 charge" etc etc. This was originally issued March 2019. I have followed all necessary steps along each letter through these forums, but wanted to confirm that this is DCBL trying to scare myself with numerous letters ? Thank you!

    DCB Limited or DCB Legal?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

THE GAME OF MUSICAL CHAIRS CONTINUE.

The Parking companies are so fickle ..... they keep floating from legal to legal hoping one of them can claw back all the money they have lost with covid.
Now HIGHVIEW are using DCBL as a "freebie" service to beg for money on old tickets.
Will it work, very much doubt it because DCBL add fakes charges which flaws any claim

Excel used DCBL, that did not last long because the court claim failed.

    Worth reading this .....
EXCEL and DCBL SPANKED IN NUNEATON COUNTY COURT   Deputy District Judge (DDJ) Mitchell
** Defence, additional charges of £60 'Admin Fee' find unreasonable behaviour
** Route of claim suspect no demonstrable loss as result of way vechicle parked.
Concluded unreasonable behaviour primarily failing to attend hearing today.

DCBL were claiming debt recovery of £60 which the judge said was unreasonable.
Now DCBL are claiming "damages" of £60 ....... that is a complete fabrication especially having someone called YASMIN MIA signing a statement of truth ....... WHEN IT'S NOT

DCBL SHOULD BE REMINDED OF THIS
