The public records show that Group Nexus works from .. Mailing Address. PO BOX 14836 with a registered address of .. 10 Flask Walk London NW3 1HE
It has two current directors, one being a Mr Langdon
    https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/11309569/officers

CP PLUS use the same registered address. According to Companies house, CP PLUS own 75% of Group Nexus.  Mr Langdon is also a director
    https://find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk/company/02595379/officers

HIGHVIEW PARKING ... also use the same registered address (as above) to which Mr Langdon is also a director ?

Yet another DCBL begging letter but THEY LIE, there is no such thing as a £170 parking ticket
Suggest you read the whole of this thread plus the NEWBIES thread

Forget the "bailiff" scary rubbish, it's not even been to court yet. If you get a "letter before claim" giving you 30 days to respond then come back here.  All these old parking tickets relate to one thing .. COVID ... all parking companies have lost a staggering amount of money

POPLA is just a waste of space, they are old dinosaurs who will shortly be history with the new government independent appeals service ......

IGNORE and wait for a "letter before claim"

That extra £70 is almost certainly  unlawful, read this

    Excel v Wilkinson

At the Bradford County Court, District Judge Claire Jackson (now HHJ Jackson, a Specialist Civil Circuit Judge) decided to hear a 'test case' a few months ago, where £60 had been added to a parking charge despite Judges up and down the country repeatedly disallowing that sum and warning parking firms not to waste court time with such spurious claims.   That case was Excel v Wilkinson: G4QZ465V, heard in July 2020 and leave to appeal was refused and that route was not pursued.  The Judge concluded that such claims are proceedings with 'an improper collateral purpose'.   This Judge - and others who have since copied her words and struck dozens of cases out in late 2020 and into 2021 - went into significant detail and concluded that parking operators (such as this Claimant) are seeking to circumvent CPR 27.14 as well as breaching the Consumer Rights Act 2015.   DJ Hickinbottom has recently struck more cases out in that court area, stating: ''I find that striking out this claim is the only appropriate manner in which the disapproval of the court can be shown''.

You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

It is not good enough to inform the DVLA about your Driving Licence, you must inform them of the COA for your V5C - assuming you are the registered keeper of the car in question, as the DL and V5C parts of DVLA do not speak to each other.  Are you the RK or is it a leased car?  The DVLA are not breaking any laws in providing your address as per your V5C so long as the parking company can show due reason why they are asking for it.

Nothing to be scared of, not on this forum .....

As said, make sure your DL and V5 is up to date, you need to do both.

Hi all. So I recevied a final notice letter from DCBL on Friday. First correspondence I have received from them, yet they say it's a final notice. Anyway, I had a parking ticket from UKPC in 2018, whihti appealed within the timeframe and got an automated 'we have received your email' response and that they would get back to me and obviously from researching this forum, they never did and seem to use that as a tactic. Anyhow I have read the newbies forum and it mentions what to do for 14 day letters and the legal letters. Mine has no specific timeframe for response other than immediately lol. Just want to confirm that the best course right now is to ignore? If hypothetically I did  end up going to court, what are the maxium charges, could it be more than they are trying to charge?  I'm willing to fight it as I believe the car wasn't even on private land at said time.

Look, this is normal DCBL crap .... a begging letter adding a fake £60

Take no notice of the "bailiff" rubbish .... it's not even been to court .....

It is very sad that the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) have such unruly members, but, it is an old boys club ?

DCBL think you are a mug ... ignore ... if you get a "letter before claim" giving you 30 days to respond and including the fake £60 rubbish ... come back here ....

Can you imagine anyone bringing a FAKE claim to court ?  ... DCBL DO

UKPC seemed to have farmed out a share of their unpaid parking tickets to at least two debt collectors - DCB Limited and CST Law - just another ratcheting up of the debt collector harassment. We have yet to see any go as far as a court case. In any case, until shown to be otherwise, the only lawyers that UKPC use to pursue on their behalf at court is SCS Law. So come back on a new thread if you receive a formal 'Letter Before Claim' from any solicitor (particularly SCS) or a N1 claim letter from the Northampton CCBC. Please read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post, which tells you all you need to know about how to deal with debt collectors - it's not very long!
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
