Morning fellow Ol' stylers .:)
Today hasn't started off as expected. Last night, DS2, having been bathed, went to bed like a good little boy. As is his norm, he plays with his toys until he's ready for sleep. Everything was OK - I poked my head around the door about 8.30. He was still chattering to himself and more importantly - clean! He went to sleep about 15 minutes later. When we went to check on him at 9.45, he was sleeping like an angel - a turquoise angel. He'd found a marker pen and proceeded to colour in both hands, arms and his face and he'd made a really good job of it too. Not a speck of skin colour was to be seen on his arms and he had a good set of tiger stripes on his face (including in his ears and up his nose.) Managed to flannel some of it off last night, but he's soaking at the moment and there will be an extra set of bedding in the wash pile today. And to think I have to take him swimming at 10.
Other than that, lots of 'normal' washing to do, then ironing tonight. Need to go to Tesco to pick up those things I couldn't get at Aldi/Lidl. Will be taking my ice cream maker back to Netto - deffo a purchase I don't need.
Oh well, catch up later - off to scrub DS2 now0 -

I used the basic white loaf recipe and then simply added some "onion crispies" (dried onions bits) that I had in the cupboard and a small palmful of dried rosemary. HTH~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I feel like a proper old styler this morning - here I am, 20 past 9, still in my dressing gown drinking coffee! I really must go for a shower soon & then get on & do some work. I'm visting a site on the Wirral this aft, so I'm going to pop into Cheshire Oaks on the way there/back for a new pair of work shoes. Really must get something out of the freezer for tea too...................0

 Sleep well, Glad - it's a devil trying to sleep during the day, but most especially when the weather warms up and the whole neighbourhood decided to get the mowers/power tools out
LOL @ Lucie ..... "proper old styler ... still in dressing gown drinking coffee" at 9.20am :rotfl: I'm going to print that off and put it on my noticeboard as a warning to my family:
"Do Not Disturb ... Proper Old Styler drinks coffee and does not dress before 9.30 am - Official!" I love it!
Enjoy your shopping, hope you get a bargain on your shoes~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Up at 7 to put the bread on.I got fed up having to set it all up the night before and put the timer on and it gives me a good excuse to get up,we eat a loaf a day so it has to have cooled sufficiently to slice by mid day.
Did the garden for a couple of hours and I now have a large area of mud 20X25 ft and growing(and all with only handtools so very old style).I keep saying 'You must come and see my mud!' to OH when he comes in from workSounds mad but it was a bramble patch a month ago.
Ive got 3 chicken carcasses to make into soup for lunch so thats next to do.
Havent seen either of my kids this morning,my son has finished his exams and is hibernating and my daughter was up late watching documentaries of some sort and is probably buried in a book till lunch time.
I love these new threads Queenie,it's so interesting hearing what everyones projects are and gave me a kick up the backside to not be such a lazy moo.0 -
