((Chipps)) Happens to all of us - I have good times where I'm on top of everyone and everything ... then other times, it all builds up and I get behind.
I simply do the "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start again" thing :o

    Deep breaths ;)

Woke up this morning to the smell of fresh bread (in breadmaker) - went shopping then made 2 apple pies as DH has been dropping none too subtle hints - then made home made turkey burgers and putting new potatoes on to cook!

Made jam and another loaf last night.

DH just looked at screen and asked if I was a proper old style at home or a LML - told him I thought that I was somewhere between the two and he looked disbelieving so I threatened to hide the apple pies I have baking!

he has gone quiet now LOL!!!:D

    afternoon all :D

Sorry to hear about the cooker JamieDoger - is it a good make? I ask because I had a fault with the hob in my last flat and while it cost about £100 to fix, it was a Neff and would have cost more to replace and the replaced bits were guaranteed for 10years.. The nice man also ran a full service on the hob for me and cleaned it with his "uber-special-stuff" (which may have been vinegar, to be honest :D ). The Hob was still going strong 5 years later when I moved out.

Hugs to Rebob and Chipps; sounds like you're both having a bit of a blip at the moment, but you're on the right track and it'll come good soon.

My O/S day started at half 8 last night when I got home from work ;) - I know it was really yesterday, but I'm proud of myself..

I had a quick scout round the kitchen and found I had a pack of lovely sausages about to go out of date, so I teamed them with a jar of Ragu Red wine and garlic (I have two so they must've been bogof), a can of butterbeans, a can of flagelot beans and a handful of chopped up ayrshire potatoes. I had it for lunch today and it was lovely (which was as well as I've another four portions sitting in the freezer :D ). I also had some rapidly softening rhubarb so I made lovely crumble and had some for my supper (and now have a further four portion boxed in the freezer...). I was very smug by the time I got to bed!

Not so productive yet today... it was my last lateshift for a while so I lay in bed and luxuriated for ages :) . Tonight I'm making a card for the wedding I'm going to at the weekend and wrapping my father's day pressie. I also thought about making an apple "plate-pie" if I can work out a recipie...
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...

greenlogo...cooker is sooooo old if it could walk it would need a zimmerframe. a friend gave it to me about 4 years ago for nothing when i moved into my house before this one and i had no money and was leaving behind a violent relationship..so i gotta be grateful ive had 4 years useage for zilch. the gas man says the parts i need probably wont even exist anymore..although he was really helpful at telling me the best make/s to get and what to look for and he didnt even charge me for his time or advice (nice bloke!)

so i am looking at a new one im afraid...but its going to take me a good month or so to save up!

at least i have my microwave, breadmaker, crock pot and the grill and hob on cooker still works!!!! :D

Just got in from work where I can't log in to MSE because they watch our internet activity, and anyway, I've had a fatal hard drive failure so had to take my pc away. I did get to have a browse earlier, though, as a lurking guest type. I DID take sandwiches rather than buy stuff from the canteen, and we WILL be having a fry up for tea. But other than that, not much old styling today. Yet. Although I MAY get knitting or sewing out later ...

My main os activity today has been stretching one of those rubber chickens. Yesterday we had it roast for dinner. Today DH and I both had chicken, red onion & mayo rolls for lunch. Tonight we're having chicken and vegetable pie. Hopefully there will still be ehough left for chilli chicken burritos for either lunch or tea on Saturday. (Tomorrow's tea will be free - pizza courtesy of mystery shopping job).

Have you checked to see if there is a recycle group in your area? I ask as I am sure I noticed a cooker being offered in my group just recently and it wasn't long before someone took up the offer.

Hello everyone. Not been on line before as I have been in bed most of the day with a migraine - damn that Bono!!! mind you, i have had it threatening for a couple of days and because of politics at work have kept going in whereas I would probably have been better having Tuesday off. ho hum.

Applemint: So glad your girls enjoyed U2 and you heard it as well. I'm very impressed at your OS! :T They came on at 8.30 for us and left at 11 - Athelete were the support we saw...... (got there late due to having a sleep in the afternoon to try and get rid of headache).

Not much OS going on today I'm afraid and being very lazy and having salad and jackets for dinner when OH comes in from football. Usually bake on a Thursday but I just don't feel up to it so a night veging beckons. If my head clears a bit more I may do some more of Celtic Summer .................

Can't remember if I've asked this already but does anyone have a recipe for something moroccan with chick peas - the mind is going.... :D
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

Sorry to hear you've got a migraine Rage_in_Eden ... just make sure you are feeling better before you go back to work. OH suffers from migraines so I know how bad it can be.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D
