Women and cats will do as they please and men and dogs should get used to it.;)

  • Don't worry about it queenie. The cats don't have names and are almost feral, they roam the farm yard and keep it rodent free. I didn't expect the kitten to survive anyway, I half expected mum to kill it because it smelt of me. The only reason I stepped in was it had been stuck for a long time and the mother was in big trouble. As long as she survived then that's the main thing.

Caught up on the ironing! Until tomorrow that is, where does it all come from?

Set a couple of slug pubs out to protect what is left of my runner beans

Need to design and make up 1/2 dozen graduation cards but am sadly lacking inspiration today.

So sad about the kitten :(

Woken up at 5am by a big fly buzzing around between the window and blinds  Couldn't sleep properly then but had just managed to doze off around 7am when I heard a little voice calling "I need the toooiiiiilllleeeet". OH was in the bath so I told her to knock on the door and tell him. Next thing I know the bedroom door flies open and there is OH standing there in a towel complaining that our daughter needed the toilet when he had only just got in the bath. I just turned over and hid under the covers until all went quiet again :p DD off to school then I went shopping in Asda, it was another "mostly cleaning stuff" shop. I bought some kitchen roll as OH has been complaining about not having any "wishts" for when he eats his toast but I've hidden them for now.

Last night DD broke the second glass this week so it looks like I will have to keep my eye out for some cheap pint glasses as we're down to one now.

Got post from Tax Credits people. Very confused, looks like they owe us £300+ but it's going to be a "sit down with pen and paper and a mug of something while all is quiet (read: daughter in bed)" job. All the plus this, less that, plus this gets very confusing with Balamory playing in the back ground:rolleyes:

After finishing reading here I'm off to put the cleaning cloths in the washing machine (I have about half a loads worth in total) on a hot good wash, wash some dishes and then it will be time to get the craft stuff out for cards and gifts

well, os isn't happening in my life today. I have to make the best use of late night shopping as I need some new hiking gear. been savvy though and checked out the prices already. ;)

Also need to find a fathers day present. I have a HM card, but not the foggiest idea what to give him as a present. It was his birthday in may and he got golf stuff from me then, and a book at chirstmas (great amazon bargain), but this time I am stumped.

After that it's home to pack and a quick wipe round the shower with the old vinegar solution. :)

I have been trying to think of some storecupboard meals as I knew that I had to "cut back". Decided to bite the bullet and add up the loan and overdraft amounts. I got rather upset when I saw that it was £2714.76!!!!! I knew things were not too good but not that bad. I did start the switching of accounts so that most of the overdraft is on 0% at A & L. Got to plan some meals now and do the store cupboard meal thing for at least a while.

Just returned from Tesco's .. they had 1.5kg tins of Quality Street on BOGOF = £9.98 :j Now tucked away in the gift/Christmas cupboard (use by April 06 ;) )

Other than that, I'm defrosting the portion of Scotch Mince I froze at the weekend - so I don't think my day constitutes a really *good* OS day LOL

Still, I console myself with the fact that ... I'll still be at home OS'ing while the menfolk are away from tomorrow til Monday so I'm allowed a day of being in the LML Club :D:D:D

Woke up in the middle of the night in a panic. We booked a holiday online last night & decided to pay by debit card instead of credit card, cos of extra charge for cc payment. At 2am my brain decides its a good time to remind me that we would be over the overdraft limit, so although we had already planned to transfer the money from savings today anyway, I then started to WORRY about it.
Couldn't do anything first thing, cos ys has his piano lesson at 9.15 & it's a half hour drive through country lanes to get there.
Was all okay because of course payments don't go through that fast, but it didn't occur to me at 2 o'clock!
I am way behind on all the wonderful organising I started a couple of months back, when I was itemising every expenditure & tracking it all on Money. Having let go for a few days, it has all gone haywire.......
    Story of my life...........
