I've not had a good day at all. Didn't get to bed til 2:30am, started sewing another caravan cushion and lost track of time. Got the children off to school then crawled back to bed til lunchtime. We had veg soup (I made yesterday) and home made foccatia (sp?) bread for tea and I'm now back stitching a stupid 4' x 6' cushion. I can hardly lift the flaming thing so I'm expecting to find the seams are all crooked when it's finished. Can't type very easily as my fingers are a mess of pin pricks and cat scratches (one of the farm cats was having kittens last night and got into problems). Oh well wheres those pins?0

I still think that you have much to congratulate yourself on! You've made soup/bread, stitched cushions, cared for your children *and* been a midwife to your cat!!
Put the cushion down, put some salve on your spotty pricks and cat scratches and take yourself off to bed - some things can always wait until tomorrow((hugs))

Good morning Queenie
I have a day off from work today ( well apart from 4 hours paperwork this morning!!)
This afternoon I am going to clean all the windows with my new vinegar solution.
Then I'm going to redo this month's budget as I think that I can trim even more off of certain area's. I have become thrifty
Have a good day everyone

'morning everyone
Peace at last. Considering I've booked the week off, I've had very little time to myself or to do the things I want to do
OH back at work today, eldest daughter at work this morning and youngest daughter doing an A level exam. So the house is now EMPTY but for me ... hurray!
Today I'm going to clean out demi-johns ready for home wine making, take a look at what to do with a whole load of onions (drying or some sort of chutney ... drying probably given the success of Queenie's onion and rosemary bread) and a bit of pottering around tidying and ironing. If the weather picks up a wash load will be going out on the line too.
I have a pile of library books to work through as wellEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -

You can use fresh onion in the bread too - 1oz of butter in a pan plus chopped onion, cook gently until very soft but not brown. If you have a microwave, put the butter and onion in the microwave, cover and cook on HIGH for 5 mins, stirring halfway through. Then leave to cool.
Simply add the buttery mixture to the breadmachine *after* you have put in the normal ingredients.
