Definately not a LML today - been up since 5. Got a fabulous bargain pair of shoes at Cheshire Oaks yesterday - £13.50 from the Clarks outlet shop. The price tag said £25, which was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but they were really nice & every other pair of Clarks shoes I've ever had has lasted ages. Take them to till & they'd been reduced to £15, plus it was 10% off day, so got them for £13.50. Bargain!

    :hello: Good morning :hello:

This morning I've waved off dh and the boys on their long weekend away - repacked their cases ( ) hidden Father's Day bits within; picnic for the journey supplied: HM bread, meatloaf slices, hm coleslaw, fruit salad, vinegar cake and cheese n marmite pinwheels and hm lemonade.

Didn't realised how quiet the house can be when it's just me (a rare occurance)!! (Pathetic, I know, but it's left a big hole just knowing there's no one else here :( ).

I've stripped all the beds, half are now waving on the line in the garden, other still dancing in the machine.

Cleaned the bathroom after my bath (at least I know it will stay that way for the next few days!! LOL )

Lunch: hm soup from freezer - (chilled apple and apricot)
Dinner: leftover Scotch mince (going to use it as a filling for a Toastie and have it with salad)

Beach walk planned for when all the washing is out.

  • Hubby rang at 6 to ask me to check the bank online as one of the other drivers was moaning they hadn't been paid so I started the day reassuring him. Didn't get much better as the twins are panicing over their visit next week to the academy :(
Calmed them down and fed everyone porridge with apples for breakfast (apples were left over from my curry batchs yesterday, I ended up cooking 25 portions of curry for the freezer at midnight )
So far I've baked a new lot of flapjacks and some of my mother chocolate biscuits (her only home baked thing and only at Christmas). Dough is on for pizzas tonight and I've kept back some curry just in case DH gets home tonight. The washing basket is screaming at me but I'm going to wait til I get the uniforms from the brat pack (and they can do the hanging out for me, can't cope with that much today) I'm going to finish setting up microsoft money and have a gentle day I hope.

Waved OH off to work, put dirty cleaning cloths on to wash (forgot to switch the machine on yesterday :o) got DD ready for school in her own clothes, took DD and 4 carrier bags of books, videos & toys to the school for their summer fair (another 2 "bring things in" days - must enter the info on outlook), bought some milk from Co-op and remember to use Divi Card, home and washing out then put masterbedroom curtains in to wash. Started sorting out ebay listings into boxes by postage cost (£0, £1, £2, £3, £4+) and started typing up the things DD can't see me listing. Put curtains out on the washing line and snapped about 5 plastic pegs  Now just about to leave to pick DD up. Will send her out in the yard with some chalk later after she's watched a video or two (keeping her in doors while the sun is at its hotest to try and avoid sunburn)

Yesterday we made OH a big photoframe with 3 pics in (DD's idea) for fathers day and then made 3 cards (OH, my dad, his dad) so I guess I should wrap the gift at some point. I'm hoping to get some items typed up on OH's ebay account that he wants to sell and then I can start on the clothing. I'll leave the rest of DD's stuff until Monday when she's at school.

  • Well as I'm the one that works in our house - :rotfl: - here I am at my desk until 2. Actually that's not fair because OH works from home (so he assures me) and today is the FIRST order that he has had for ages so he is collecting the product from the manufacturers and taking it to the buyer. Hurrah - some money at last. :j

Last night did bake - cherry cake and marmalade cake. never made marmalade one before but it's from the Be-ro book. :D

when i leave work I will be stripping the beds and doing a towel wash as well. then the bathroom and finally either a home made curry or chops from the freezer. then a nice cheap night in with a block of reduced chocolate from the cheapo shop and the raft of programmes i have taped over the last few days. I get paid on 25th and have not gone over my limit and may even have some money left over :T - the june grocery challenge of £100 is also on track - although we may go slightly over this weekend if we have to stock up on stuff before i am paid (and it's loo rolls so yes, i do need them!!) :D
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

I too am at work til 2 today, so no dressing gown lounging around this morning!
This afternoon I've got 10 tonnes of gravel & 2 enormous stone circles for the front garden being delivered, so it's going to be a busy couple of days.
Dinner tonight will have to be a takeaway at about 9.30 when it's too dark to shift any more gravel! Plus our regular curry place has been taken over, so it'll be interesting to see if it's any better/worse/more expensive than before.
Tomorrow I'm planning a picnic as it seems a shame not to take advantage of this glorious weather.

Had a lie in this morning until 7.30 ... I'm back at work on Monday so I'm taking advantage :D

OH and daughter at work, doing exams etc. so another day to myself. Last night OH and I started to make our first batch of wine (it's now merrily fizzing away in a bucket).

This morning I've started off a batch of yogurt, made flapjack for Dad for fathers day (going along with his bottle of ginger beer, spicy onion marmalade, rhubarb and ginger jam, lemon curd and the homemade loaf which is still in the breadmaker ... Queenies rosemary and onion of course). I've made up another big batch of homemade washing powder, got one wash out on the line and another in the machine.

This afternoon I'll make a Father's Day card, do some ironing and make a shepherds pie for tea.

I'd love not to have to go back to work next week. Should have booked 2 weeks off. Never mind, I've two weeks to look forward to in August :D
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

    afternoon all :)

I'm back on Early shifts today so I've been beavering since 8...made a big lot of pastry when I got in from work at nine last night, which is sitting in the freezer ready for next week, sorted out my wardrobe so I can see what I actually possess and earmarked several things for ebay (and several more for shredding at the clothes recycling place.. :o )

Being picked up from work tonight (yay) and then heading off to my Parent's for the weekend to attend (which reminds me, I must remember to pick up their keys!) a friend's wedding. I've been put on the loud table so I think it'll be fun :D

Everyone have a splendid MSE weekend and I'll "see" you all on Monday!
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...
