Hi Queenie glad you had a good day.
I have had a day working from home today!! Managed to do some more cupboard sorting ready for a car boot sale, listed some books on Green Metropolis and did some Ebay listing.
Going out for dinner tonight (OH paying) so I have managed not to spend anything as well.

We went into town today (about 25 minutes walk) and bought some more weed supressing stuff.I got a new sun hat as I have lost mine (Im bound to find it now I don't need it anymore
luckily we have a new pound shop so it didnt break the bank.
We had some of the left over chicken soup with HM bread for lunch and nectarines from the fruiterer(OH had a burger )
Im hoping OH will have a bonfire later to help reduce the garden waste as there is a huge heap ,so I've cleared a large patch of ground all around the heap to keep it under control.(I hate making bonfires, they always seem to have a mind of their own and I find them rather daunting).0 -
Oh what an Ol'Style night I'm going to have! Off to a 1920's themed wedding reception resplendent in me cravat and Ol'School blazer.

I was wondering what happened to today - No O/S Saturday by Queenie!!
I made Home made pizza last night (very good it was too!), and this morning ive been cleaning like a maniac, all the student boys are moving out today  :T :j :rotfl: - No more scummy boy mess! YEY!!
Anyhoo, once they have all flown away for the summer, im going to clean all the public areas, so boyf and I can actually walk around in white socks without picking up every bit of fluff and dirt going!
After that, I think I might make some pasta - have since decided that chicken and bacon pasta salad with extra salad will do the trick on what has been an unbearably hot day.
And then I might look for another job, ive been in mine for 4 days and I was positively lied to in the interview (I just did a 15.5 hour day yesterday, never again, I can tell you), so om thinking I might go and find a job where I actually benefit the world, not run myself into the ground in the pursuit of a fat cats profit.
And then I might bake a chocolate cake, Ive got a packet mix lying around somewhere, and may as well use it!
Oooohhhh!! I can go freebie hunting on the internet too - I love days off I do!

How's your Saturday?
I love the Downs! I need to get to good ol' Bristol soon, spending too much time in the confines on Bath at the moment, eeurgh!!
Sounds like you had a lovely morning Queenie!! I did wonder why this thread was no-where to be found yet!
In fact, I must visit the little memorial tree planted two years ago on the Downs for a friend of mine at Uni who passed away in an accident, I keep meaning to go, but unfortunatley, many things have gotten in the way and I simply havent had the free time. May do tomorrow though.

pink fairy - hope you have a wonderful meal out - what a treat!! :T
culpepper - I didn't know they sold sun hats in the £ shops ... I shall take a peek on Monday, I rather fancy pottering in the garden with a sun hat
Thanks for the idea
MATH - ooooh bet you look right dapper!! Have a wonderful time! :T
jw1096 - sorry,I was very late in starting the thread today.
Aww, Jo, what a wonderful memorial to your friend (sorry about the tragic loss though) Yes, do make time to go and see how the little tree is growing. We may have our Downs mixed UP
I drove to the Kent Downs
Good luck in your job hunting, hope you find something more suitable.
Oh, and good luck with your freebie hunting ... you sound so very excited, it's contagious!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Last night I did a load of laundry at 9.30, OH thought I had gone mad until I put it on maidens in the bedroom and woke up this morning to almost dry washing.
Put that washing out on the line, another in the machine and spent about 4 hours working on the computer clearing papers from the desk, checking/playing with the budget (just found out we should have over £100 a month for pocket money and additional debt payments :j). Spent about an hour at my nannas today with family, walked there and back so saved some money as well as finding 6p
OH & DD had soup from the freezer with homemade buns and I had left over lentil bolognese from the freezer with a bun
Just about to put another load of washing in and then I'll probably either sit and play game on the computer or watch TV, all depending on what OH wants to watch so the rest of the night won't be that OS :rotfl:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
