culpepper - I didn't know they sold sun hats in the £ shops ... I shall take a peek on Monday, I rather fancy pottering in the garden with a sun hat
    Thanks for the idea :D

MATH - ooooh bet you look right dapper!! Have a wonderful time! :T

jw1096 - sorry, :o I was very late in starting the thread today.
Aww, Jo, what a wonderful memorial to your friend (sorry about the tragic loss though :( ) Yes, do make time to go and see how the little tree is growing. We may have our Downs mixed UP ;) I drove to the Kent Downs :)
Good luck in your job hunting, hope you find something more suitable.
Oh, and good luck with your freebie hunting ... you sound so very excited, it's contagious!!! :D:D:D

OOps!! I got all carried away thinking of Bristol Downs!! Oh well! Still, Im glad you had a nice day (again!), and yes, certainly contagious, I have made time for freebie hunting tonight, and off to the Downs tomorrow morning, hopefully it will be quiet. Ive just applied for a job within the NHS, which sounds really interesting, and also, I feel like I will be helping people, so that will give me more Job satisfaction, which I am pleased about!

I have listed on ebay. Posted another item. Been for a good walk with the dog and DH. Swapped around the folding camper and caravan from mums and storage yard. Also been to the local scout/church fair. Bought 2 plates of buns for 20p, a brand new belt bag for hubby for 20p, bought 4 books for 30p and 6 mini mcleans toothpasts for camping hols for 40p. Had quite a good day.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Well I'm glad the day is over.
OH injured himself... scraped some paint off brickwork and manage to get debris in his eye. Whinged, whined (in pain I know), made sure we all knew he was feeling miserable until some friends looked after the kids and we visited A&E. Seen in about 1 hour (not bad) and not too bad . Sent him to bedybops with strong painkiller.

Lesson learnt: never forget your safety goggles!!!!!

    :hello: Good morning :hello:

I've tackled some ironing while it's still cool, the other bits have simply been folded before putting away ;)

The onion bread is almost cool enough to slice and that 1st slice will make scrummy soldiers for the boiled egg I'm having for breakfast. I''m going to sit outside with my breakfast and have leisurely cafetierre of coffee.

    Hi Queenie

Im feeling a little better today-i think the heat is helping me old bones..lol.

Anyway, have 2nd wash load on as I type (hubby has hung one load out already), have wiped down our wooden blinds in lounge (cleaner from council is rubbish!), put clothes on stairs to be taken up and put away, got huge chicken on which is doing a roast today-salad & sarnies tomorrow and curry on tuesday. MIL has just turned up with a pan of blackberries picked yesterday-so will knock up 2 apple and blackberry crumbles later (freeze one). Got a few heavy items to wrap and pack for ebay and be sent off in morning(delegate hubby to do this). Cleaned toilet and put all papers/letters etc in paper bin. Also got another 2/3 wash loads to do

Dont want to do too much today as its the first day in 4 days Ive felt half normal  May sit out in garden and catch a few rays later-so pale-could do with a bit of colour.

Have just asked hubby to put on boiled eggs for our breakfast. Egg & soldiers sound scrummy!

You all have a nice day.

hurraayy! My first day off for ages - so now I can post something on this thread :D . Today I am going to the organic veg market over the road - Have found that I've become so economical with food that I can now afford to shop there. Usually I treat myself to something from the pastry stand for breakfast - but as its hotter than hell at the moment, might go for a fruit juice  . Then on to the allotment later - to plant out all of the veg seedlings am currently harbouring in the flat....go and see if my runner beans are still alive!
I've made my debts bite-size too depressing to look at all at once so am handling them one at a time - first up Graduate Loan £1720 paid off! only £280 to go!!!
Money to raise for tuition fees: £3000
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on!!
