How do you use the search facility? I know it looks easy but all I seem to end up with in a search is threads I have started.

I generally stay signed into mse. Yesterday and today I've had to sign back in. Why?

I've had this recently as well. Perhaps the new site makes you sign in again periodically as a security measure.

Could also be where they're working on it in the background and certain features are being turned on and off periodically to accommodate this?

Left alignment of imported smilies now works, no more having to use html code

That's good news but did you just find out by accident/trial&error? It would be good if each time something is 'fixed'  mse (perhaps Callum or Tine who started threads?) could update. Or is that too obvious?

By accident, I noticed the small gif in my sig was no longer in the middle (had to adjust it in settings to get it back central) then thought...I wonder if stuff has been moved to the left.

Previously I'd been using HTML code to get smilies to the left so I tried just copying the code in without the HTML faff and it worked.

I think the double spacing's gone as well. And the thing where you were shown a new post in a thread that turned out to be your own , that's fixed too.
