Hi @Dobbibill, I would love to join this challenge please.
I have been saving my "starter emergency fund" of £1000 using a start to save account which has a prize draw attached to it if you save between £50 and £100 per month. I will continue to add to this for the duration of the account (until May 2022 I think), at which point I hope to be debt free. I will then continue to save until I have 3 months of expenses saved: £6000. I might up this to £7500 as I get closer, but my initial goal would be £6000.
So, on that note, I am currently at £1100 of £6000

I just had a look at your signature - well done for paying off your debts and saving 2k!!Thank you @Dobbibill! 😁 I'm trying...I hope to be able to sock away a fair amount at the end of the month. If I'm really, really lucky I might be able to get finish it off in two pay packets. *Crosses fingers* If it stretches to three wage slips, oh well...I still won't have failed! 😁What are your plans for the spare money once the target is achieved?

£1,000/£4,000
This is the first month of lower mortgage payment and also no council tax or maintenance fees, so boosted my EF by £900. From next month I will be putting aside £100-200 and saving for driving lessons/car separately. The idea of spending thousands on a car really hurts but I want to have more choices when changing employment.
Good luck everyone with savings!Thank you @blue_mango but spare money?! Hahahaha!I bought a house five years ago that needs huge amounts of doing up so the idea of spare money is both delightful and laughable. It eats everything I earn.As to this month's savings...my EF is now up to £2144.06. It would have been more but I was a bit indisciplined at the end of last month and has to take a bit out to cover some expenses I should have foreseen.I hope I can still get up to the full three months next month, but we shall see.#45: £2144.06.Debt: £11,640.02 paid in full!
