Thank you @Dobbibill! 😁 I'm trying...I hope to be able to sock away a fair amount at the end of the month. If I'm really, really lucky I might be able to get finish it off in two pay packets. *Crosses fingers* If it stretches to three wage slips, oh well...I still won't have failed! 😁
I just had a look at your signature - well done for paying off your debts and saving 2k!! :) What are your plans for the spare money once the target is achieved?

This is the first month of lower mortgage payment and also no council tax or maintenance fees, so boosted my EF by £900. From next month I will be putting aside £100-200 and saving for driving lessons/car separately. The idea of spending thousands on a car really hurts but I want to have more choices when changing employment.

    Good luck everyone with savings!
  • Hi all,

Wondering if I can join in with a target of £8,000.

I've just bought my first flat so figure I better make a start on being a responsible adult with an emergency fund.

    Thanks, Dolly

  • Thank you @Deleted_User I’m pleased I got there. I had to push myself, the pandemic has taught us the true meaning of need and want, we really buckled down I can’t remember the last time I went out shopping.

  • @MummyRivett I think this time has taught a lot of us the true meaning of that. I used to be very materialistic but that is all going to change now.
