@Deleted_User I totally agree, I thought I was always ok with the value of money, but now I have a deeper understanding of wants vs needs.  I hope to take these values and principles and apply them going forward.  We only have the mortgage to conquer, which is the best feeling.

  • @MummyRivett I've just bought my first flat so I'm going to focus on that now. I also owe my Mum £3k due to Nationwide needing a 15% deposit due to COVID. I'll pay that off and save at the same time to make some mortgage OP's.

@Deleted_User that's a great achievement, we are five years on with our mortgage repayments, it takes a while to get on top of everything, but you will get there.  Good luck :)

  • @MummyRivett Thank you! Yeah I'm just looking forward to getting my first payment out the way and is it sad that I can't wait to see my mortgage balance on my mobile banking app.

@Deleted_User not at all, I was exactly the same, it was when I saw it on the app I knew it was real :)

I’m also putting money aside for a holiday, mum’s big ‘0’ birthday and son’s graduation. If none of these turn out to be BIG post-covid celebrations, I will direct my savings to this fund 😎
