Hi I am not sure if I have already joined this thread or if I have a number - but mainly on here to say that I now want to join this thread. I will start with 3 months and that is £6000 and I am hoping to get there in a year or two - I am currently at £1900 which is my housing fund and my basic emergency fund combined. While this might be cheating,I am new to saving so at the moment I have to count everything to make it count. But basically I have £900 in my housing fund and over £1000 in my emergency fund.
SO the trick for me now is to stay super frugal and not actually spend the money.
Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
    Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%
Weight loose 8.6 kg - while having fun. 0/8.6 0%
Focus debt to clear HSBC £10/1111, 0% updated May 25

Thank you,  I must admit I have had a bit of 'spreadsheet' excitement this morning, lol.

  • Evening, I wonder if I could re-join please?

I have been off the MSE wagon for a spell and we are in the process of buying a new house (waiting for completion) so I've been focusing on paying off debts first.  My savings pot stands at £1,213.87 and my first goal will be 3 months which is £9330 - seems a long way off!

    Thank you

Welcome back LMD - how exciting to be waiting to move. All the best with that chapter.
I've added your goal and progress to the members list and you are #53....it may seem a way off to your goal but you are already over 10%......think of it as baby steps. Another £647.30 and you will hit 20% which I'm sure doesn't seem as daunting as the bigger goal :)
    Keep on keeping on
