KerryWoman/Toni'sFriend - I would like to go to the theatre but when you are paying for 4 it is prohibitively expensive. Eating out is the same too, we are essentially paying for 4 adults now.

plumduff - I watched a very large spider prance around a wasp and wrap it up then it used one leg to lift it up and stick it to it's own body then it took off with it's dinner.

Didn't spend yesterday, DD did her first voluntary shift in a local CS and today she is volunteering at the library so we don't have time to go far, I do have a grocery shop to collect though.

I was going to take the kids out tomorrow but we are due thunderstorms - third Friday in a row it will have rained.

Payday today so new budgets start for me.

    Hi All

Not a NSD today as I am doing my grocery shop tonight instead of tomorrow, just because tomorrow is payday and I have budgets to do, as well as house work to catch up on ready for the weekend.

I have got to the end of a few bottles of moisturiser etc that I have been trying to use up :T I seem to have collected a ridiculous amount of toiletries and I am slowly working my way through them. I am chuffed every time I get to the bottom of one :D

Managed to know £27 off my Gas & electric DD. We have been making a real effort not to use the dishwasher or the the drier, of course it is much easier in summer but they keep lowering my DD and it is making my determined to keep this up even in the winter months. Of course heating will be different.

Not loads else to report..I will be back tomorrow with the dreaded budget

Dolly - Yes . It is very expensive when you are paying for four people. Himself and I are both retired and have free bus travel plus discounts for over 60s. We also always look for vouchers, etc when we go for a meal. Plus we can go to a matinee rather than an evening performance and to be honest I prefer that because I'm an early bedder.
    NSD No 17
Walked to pick up our medication from the chemist but it was so hot couldn't walk a lot further. Took two big bags of things to the Charity Shop but lots more to go.
Still having a good go at using up the food that we have. Baked potato with leftover chilli and the Boy is having chicken. Yes, he's still coming to see his Mum but I think he's beginning to (and quite enjoying) being in his own space. As he should.
Stay safe in this heat xxx

    Hey everyone :D
I've had a very slobby day today. Rotten night of sleep last night, and not wanting to be out in the head either. So I've done very little - just my little house jobs... washing up twice, 2 loads of washing, hoovering, making food etc. Unfortunately it still won't be a nsd though because I have to pop to get some more snacks for the boys. They are seriously eating me out of house and home and I think that I have underestimated how much two 9 year old boys can eat.
DD is off out to a party tonight, and has asked me to taxi her - as she always babysits when I need to then I have no problem with this. And I would rather know that she is safe door to door as she's still a young un as well. I'll do the snack shopping when I drop her off.
By the way Dolly - I just got my house insurance through Meerkat people and their 2 for 1 meals offer looks amazing. There are loads of restaurants close to me on there...

Hugs to those in need of them.
dolly84 and Toni's Friend - I usually go to my local theatre to see plays and they are a reasonable price compared to London. It is very rare that I go to London to see one.
    apple muncher - Thank you.
NSD 19/20 Was an NSD. Did not give in to the merchandise/photo at the O2. Took my own photos.

    Doing self-care today.
Jump - Will definitely do walking as it will help my mental health also. Going over the O2 was my exercise today as there was an incline going up. Was a bit easier going down.

I think all of this- plays, cinema, eating out is much easier if you live outwith London but in a fairly big city or town. We go to Northumberland and the Lake District on holiday and there are very few reductions to places in either of these area. Not that I'm complaining. They are both wonderful I wouldn't change my time there for anything. It's just a fact of where you are and how the local economy survives.

Kerry woman - wow! Going up and over the 02! Truly impressive! Was it windy at the top?

Today I am grateful for mum doing ok, for finding a couple of ch shop bargains, for travelling with dd, for finding enough gf/df food for her, for the breeze, for the instancy of email, for seeing an old friend, for the Tour.

Hi, NSD 21/20 for me today.

Dolly - I could be doing with some of those spiders here.

Glenda - I'm going to watch Mamma Mia this weekend as I'm going to see the new Mamma Mia film on Monday. Can't wait! I saw an interview that was saying some of the lyrics in the songs have been changed to be more politically acceptable. Absolutely crazy
Anyway, I'll be quietly singing along using the original words.

JUMP - my friend and I went for a long walk and picnic today in the nearby country park. I think this has been our hottest day so far.

GRATITUDE - while out walking in a remote area we found a huge area full of raspberry bushes growing wild. We were too exhausted to pick any today but I'm going back tomorrow with a container :).

USE - still plodding my way through my freezer. I keep finding food I'd forgotten was there. I know some people keep an inventory of the food in their freezer. Seems an awful lot of work but maybe I should think about it.

    Have a nice evening

PS I have tried to use bold font on some of my text but no idea if it's going to work - fingers crossed
