Hi all :j
Will try for 13 NSDs & hope to get nearer to 20....now 12/13
Set your budgets nope
Use Most definitely want to do this; have a mountain of food & stuff to clear. Have been eating stuff we have & not shopping, only 3.5 more days in the UK now though now...
Revisit Targets were like other peoples I think, to lose weight (not really); to declutter - some progress; to stop wasting money - also some progress there..will list any weight losses/stuff leaving the house/money gained by selling...when it happens.. Still £44.26 so far..plus £5 voucher for doing a survey; £49.26 Another £3 voucher today: still £52.26. Have more to add, just need to total up. Still £134.12, less postage. Have more than £300 now although didn't list much today. Have to concentrate on clearing a bit as only a week till hols....Over £400 now, lots more to go but will have to start holiday prep before sales...boo..intend to list some more tomorrow before I will have to stop..Took photos but have not listed yet; DD sold another couple of items though.
Vacation Have already booked to go to Ireland for 3 weeks from July; aim to sell some stuff to pay for spends over there. Will also be planning some days out & at least another visit to the Old Country later in the year, probably 2. DH identified a couple of hotels that we could stay at; place festival is in is about half way to where we normally stay, so could break the journey there for a couple of nights. Probably need to book before they announce the programme, otherwise it will be more expensive & possibly booked up....just need to find hotels that we can cancel if it doesn't go ahead..
Value Always do try to use cashback sites where possible, and find value for money in shopping. Also have a card which gives me vouchers; and do some work which pays in vouchers too. Use cheaper supermarkets & have HB & Fultons here as well, which are both good for some stuff. Just need to menu plan for the days we are here & what we will leave for DD as she will be house/pet sitting until she comes out to join me along with my friend.
Every Checking in 20/31
Gratitudes: More progress in clearing kitchen; DH making progress in sun room; neighbour taking out DDs bins, how kind; getting some plants dug in; spicy scent of lilies as you brush past them.
Jump No jumping here either but in the garden every day when possible. Do try to drink water but struggle with this. Had a fair time this morning outside before it got too hot, digging in plants as that will the only way they can survive.
Unless budgeted, no takeaways, coffee shops, lunches out etc. Nope.
Perhaps keep track on here of items/ lbs lost and £s made:
So far have put on a pound in weight & made £134.12 - more to come. Lost the pound I put on last week..more sales will update when I know the total. £300+ and lost another pound, now over £400. No more sales yet but still £410 plus. Sales were for DD but no more for me as yet.
Yearly we are halfway through 2018. Good idea, will have a big list of outside jobs that need doing/big/small & in between. List needs updating as some jobs done..updated list. Need to make lots of list for jobs to be done before we go; things we need to take etc..made a couple of lists, adding more as we speak & making a pile of stuff to take with us too..

Didn't spend any money yesterday, went cycling in the morning then spent the rest of the day doing a few small jobs outside, washing, cooking and sitting in the sun.
All of DD's old school shirts have been washed and are now in the fabric recycling bag along with a couple of DS's, DD's school blazer is on freecycle if we don't get any takers I will donate it to a CS near the school.
Nice lie in this morning then I will be cleaning up after the weekend and I need to drop DD off to meet her friends for the cinema. Will run later.
I also sold two items on ebay but had already spent the money on Saturday in Holland & Barrett on B12, they had a good offer on so I got a years worth for £10.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Used up the remainder of yesterday's chicken for sandwiches (bread from freezer) for lunch and made stock which has been turned into lentil soup. Pork and parsnips roasting for dinner.
The Boy has cleared another chest of drawers so another load of tee shirts for the charity shop. I've also had a look at my clothes and some of them are going too. I'm sure I can manage to clear all of this eventually.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
NSD 17/20 Was an NSD today.
Set - Done the budget for the month.
Use - Will definitely be doing this. Still trying to using up things already in.
Revisit - Am going to set new goals. Made a list of goals and bucket list.
Vacation - Not going on holiday. Planning to have some days out/experiences. Done 2 days out already. Now planning to make a start on my goals/bucket list.
Inspire - Will try.
Value - Will look into other ways to save for days out etc. If I book online for one of places I want to go, I can save money.
Every - Have done. Grateful for:
For an understanding and supportive GP. Said to come back in a few months time.
For one of the packages of things I ordered came this afternoon.
Doing self-care today.
Jump - Will definitely do walking as it will help my mental health also. Did walk to and from GP surgery through the park.
Unless - No need today.
Lose - Done decluttering for now. Still need to sort out items put aside to be recycled to cs and recycling centre. Put a few more things into the bag for the cs that were my Mum's.
Yearly - Have made a list as to what needs to done or going out trips/experiences/voluntary work for rest of the year.Frugal Living Challenge 2025 Mortgage free as of 1st August 20130 -
NSD 19/20 for me today. I was a bit fed up of not spending at the weekend but settled back down again today.
JUMP - I went for a 2 mile walk today but took things easy and knee held up well. Cancelled my go appointment for Wednesday as it definitely getting better albeit slowly.
YEARLY - I made another Xmas stocking today. It's amazing what you can achieve when staying away from the shops.
LOSE - two slices of bread had gone mouldy so I had to bin them. I really hate wasting food. I have a few slices of bread in the freezer but will still need to buy bread this week.
GRATITUDE - I never thought I'd say it but I'm so glad to see the rain. It's raining heavily here at the moment although it'll be back to dry weather tomorrow. I see there is a heat warning down south but it's not been as hot here.
VACATION - Just over two weeks till my holiday and I've been researching places to visit. During my last holidays there I've visited Stonehenge and Winchester. This time I'd like to visit Jane Austen's home. Also there's a great quilting shop in Wallingford - I'm so glad I'll not be on a budget when I go there as they have the most beautiful fabric.
Have a nice evening xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

Toda I am grateful for getting the whole summer's worth of swimming for dd for just a £2 enrolment fee, for a fun swim session with her, for finding a book for dh in a ch shop (he is so hard to buy for and this year is a significant number), for finding that we had travel insurance already, for finishing the 4 lavender bellied nellies for gifts next week, for digging up some of my garlic (rather hit and miss as it has all died right down and the rasps have taken over!), for a little blackberrying with dd - not many yet, but the promise of rich pickings later, for a lovely call to the housing association re mum's house (thank you Steven!), for getting 10 different veg down me today.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Hi all :j
Will try for 13 NSDs & hope to get nearer to 20....now 12/13
Set your budgets nope
Use Most definitely want to do this; have a mountain of food & stuff to clear. Lots of things sold on FB & are gradually leaving the house, money is accumulating which is also good. Another item sold of DDs. Hope to take some to CS tomorrow although they do object when I take stuff in; fgs I work there
Revisit Targets were like other peoples I think, to lose weight (not really); to declutter - some progress; to stop wasting money - also some progress there..will list any weight losses/stuff leaving the house/money gained by selling...when it happens.. Still £44.26 so far..plus £5 voucher for doing a survey; £49.26 Another £3 voucher today: still £52.26. Have more to add, just need to total up. Still £134.12, less postage. Have more than £300 now although didn't list much today. Have to concentrate on clearing a bit as only a week till hols....Over £400 now, lots more to go but will have to start holiday prep before sales...boo..Didn't list today as it seems that loads of stuff is being listed, might do some tomorrow.
Vacation Have already booked to go to Ireland for 3 weeks from July; aim to sell some stuff to pay for spends over there. Will also be planning some days out & at least another visit to the Old Country later in the year, probably 2. Looking forward to going away in 3 days...only the aircon just packed up, yuk.
Value Always do try to use cashback sites where possible, and find value for money in shopping. Also have a card which gives me vouchers; and do some work which pays in vouchers too. Use cheaper supermarkets & have HB & Fultons here as well, which are both good for some stuff. All food from stores, used up quite a bit. On a mission till Thurs.
Every Checking in 20/31
Gratitudes: More spaces appearing; getting some plants put in the garden; Helpful DH; no need to shop.
Jump No jumping here either but in the garden every day when possible. Do try to drink water but struggle with this. Woke up early so got out & planted before it got too hot, then again tonight. I think that's the only way these plants stand a chance of survival, no-one is going to water them whilst I'm away tbh.
No more sales for me yet but now £450. Will transfer to bank account this week for hols.
Yearly we are halfway through 2018. Good idea, will have a big list of outside jobs that need doing/big/small & in between. List needs updating as some jobs done..updated list. Will make final list tomorrow, got some jobs ticked off today..

NSDs - still 5. Today probably won't be one either, as I still need to go to PO (more parcel tape and post a parcel (free return)) and another shop I didn't get to yesterday (too hot and over hungry, so came home for late lunch)
Use up - leftovers from weekend consumed for lunches and some more for dinner yesterday. Rest should be finished todayHave stopped using small toiletries up as will take them away next month
Vacation - whoop! CParcs trip in 2 weeks time :j DS3 needs another pair of swim shorts (would need them next term anyway, as he will have swimming twice on a Thurs) , as does DS2, I think. I need a new swimming cossie - I've outgrown my old bikini...:o:o
Value - used a £6 off £40 shop yesterday (cost of shop before voucher was £40.55) and also got £5 worth of free/ reduced goods via cashback shopping apps included in that :T Did an AppF00ds order too - haven't done one in years, but they were the only place I could find selling 1 particular thing (so I think it's being discontinued
) so I topped up the shopping with loo rolls
Jump - vacuuming throughout the house and cleaning the bathroom felt like a workout in the heat!!
Unless budgeted - avoided the lure of McDs when overhungry yesterday! - came home and had leftovers instead
Lose excess - sold some more books (DS2's) yesterday. Posted 2 flebay parcels. Didn't get to CS but have bags in car and have added another item this morning. Should hopefully have 3 people coming to buy more books today (all DD's)
Yearly plans - no house/ garden jobs getting done in this heat (although am not complaining about the weather at all!) Need to make list of bdays between now and end of Dec and also Xmas lists, so I can start ticking them off!
Thankful for: shopping bargains (food), money off vouchers, shopping apps, beautiful weather, today is the last get-up for school for 6 weeks (exc A level results day!), lovely leftovers, simple plans.I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -
I went blackberrying with DS yesterday, due to the soon there were lots and tons and tons still to come, we don't normally get any up north until next month. Some were eaten yesterday and some went in the freezer for smoothies (lots of seeds but we don't mind).
Will take the kids out somewhere local this afternoon and might get an ice cream or something for them.
If anyone has any suggestions on entertaining older kids during the holidays I would be interested. DD's friends are not local so it takes a bit of planning to get together so it doesn't happen often, DS does have local friends but seems to only interact with them via the xbox. They don't want to go to the park anymore (12 & 14) and I don't know what cheap things to do with them. We've done all the local museums, galleries etc.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
