    Hi all :j

Will try for 13 NSDs & hope to get nearer to 20....still 12/13

    Set your budgets nope

Use Most definitely want to do this; have a mountain of food & stuff to clear. Lots of things sold on FB & are gradually leaving the house, money is accumulating which is also good. Another item sold of DDs. Got up early & didn't shop before work but somehow managed not to take anything - other than myself - to CS. Never mind, 3 sold items left the house for pastures new.

Revisit Targets were like other peoples I think, to lose weight (not really); to declutter - some progress; to stop wasting money - also some progress there..will list any weight losses/stuff leaving the house/money gained by selling...when it happens.. Still £44.26 so far..plus £5 voucher for doing a survey; £49.26 Another £3 voucher today: still £52.26. Have more to add, just need to total up. Still £134.12, less postage. Have more than £300 now although didn't list much today. Have to concentrate on clearing a bit as only a week till hols....Over £400 now, lots more to go but will have to start holiday prep before sales...boo..Am going to list a few items now, get ahead for tomorrow as long as ipad plays ball..

Vacation Have already booked to go to Ireland for 3 weeks from July; aim to sell some stuff to pay for spends over there. Will also be planning some days out & at least another visit to the Old Country later in the year, probably 2. Strangely aircon in car now decided to work, as long as it lasts the journey to Liverpool on Thurs...the hottest day of the year, I can overlook its intermittent nonsense..

Value Always do try to use cashback sites where possible, and find value for money in shopping. Also have a card which gives me vouchers; and do some work which pays in vouchers too. Use cheaper supermarkets & have HB & Fultons here as well, which are both good for some stuff. Leftovers for lunch & made HM burgers & SP chips for tea, plus strawberry tarts :D

    Every Checking in 21/31

Gratitudes: No food shopping today; cooler this evening but no rain; helpful colleagues in CS; getting a frame for 50p..

Jump No jumping here either but in the garden every day when possible. Do try to drink water but struggle with this. Out this afternoon/evening with poorly dog as she had managed to scavenge some dried currants which were tied up in a binbag ready to go to the tip. I swear I could hire her out as a truffle hound if she weren't so indiscriminate in her eating..

Unless budgeted, no takeaways, coffee shops, lunches out etc. Nope.

Perhaps keep track on here of items/ lbs lost and £s made:
So far have put on a pound in weight & made £134.12 - more to come. Lost the pound I put on last week..more sales will update when I know the total. £300+ and lost another pound, now over £400. No more sales for me yet but now £450. Will transfer to bank account this week for hols.

Yearly we are halfway through 2018. Good idea, will have a big list of outside jobs that need doing/big/small & in between. List needs updating as some jobs done..updated list. Will make final list tomorrow, got some more jobs ticked off today..

    Go turtles!

2 more NSD's for Monday and yesterday.

I am skinto which makes not spending very easy.

Trying to use up bits in the cupboard/freezer but not really making much difference - really need to do some baking but this heat really takes it out of you and I cant be bothered to do much in the evenings!!!

    Morning :hello:
No hope of a nsd today - dd lost her house key yesterday. I think we're safe as far as not needing to change the locks, but we do need a new key for her... Other than that I'm fairly determined to get a couple of things done from the 'annoying' list.
I am tired though - ds sleepover means I have only had about 5 hours of sleep, which is more than they have had but less than I would like.
Budget all up to date - feels good to get to the end of the month and still have a bit of money left. Thank you exam board.

    Hi All -

I am sorry I have been AWOL. There seems to have been so much going on. I am working full time :( but making the most of hub being off work for the summer & no childcare costs. Then the weekends have been jam packed. To be honest I will be grateful for September, when the boys are in childcare 4 days and we are all settled back into a routine.

Pay day Friday-THANK GOD. I am in minus figures due to the car needing fixing and other things that have cropped up, I have cancelled a xmas gift in order to recoup some of the costs.. House savings still in tact though & it looks as though the car will be fixed today.. :T

Weight loss is going well. I am on a mission to get the next 2lb off this week as after that I only have 7lb to go to target :j:j:j I am feeling better for it, but could do with some smaller clothes- something I cannot afford right now. i turned down FREE ICE CREAM before. free and ice cream are my two favourite words...so I better lose weight! :rotfl:

Not much else to report. Very much looking forward to a fresh start in August. :rotfl:

So much to be grateful for; fresh strawberries in my garden, good books and hubby taking the kids to their play groups in my absence !
  • Hello everyone,
I have been afk as been pretty preoccupied with the move but, I am now all settled in :). Looking forward to a fresh start next week.

NSD 18/20 Was a spend day. Booked going over the O2 tomorrow, the Shard for Saturday and to see The Mousetrap play next week. Things from my bucket list.
Use - Will definitely be doing this. Still trying to using up things already in.
Revisit - Am going to set new goals. Made a list of goals and bucket list. Sorted out 3 things on my bucket list today.
Vacation - Not going on holiday. Planning to have some days out/experiences. Done 2 days out already. Now planning to make a start on my goals/bucket list.
    Inspire - Will try.
Value - Will look into other ways to save for days out etc.
Every - Have done. Grateful for:
The other parcel I was expecting came this morning.
Managing to book some of the things on my bucket list.
    Dealing with some house work.
    Doing self-care today.
Jump - Will definitely do walking as it will help my mental health also. Did not venture out today
    Unless - No need today.
Lose - Decluttered more things from the flat. Some things were binned, a couple more things into another bag for the cs and more things into the bag for textile recycling at the recycling centre. There was me thinking that I was finishing decluttering for the month. Slowly I am getting there before I want to decorate the flat.
Yearly - Have made a list as to what needs to done or going out trips/experiences/voluntary work for rest of the year.

Kerry Womanm-I''d love to see the Mousetrap. Going to the theatre to see things like that is something we must really start thinking about. My favourite is An Inspector Calls.
So today we had a little bit of a walk to collect prescriptions at the Health Centre. It is very hot to walk too far but not nearly as hot as it seems to be down south.
We had a few spendy things today. Somebody broke the toilet brush but nobody is owning up and it wasn't me. Apart from that just a spare tube of toothpaste. potatoes and hairpspay for me.
Himself and I have been catching up on "Versaille". Fantastic series and we're going to Paris in April so hope to visit it.
The wee ones (plus half the neighbourhood) are playing outside on their new trampoline. Noisy be funny,
Got some really cheap chicken wings whilst we were out so that's going to be dinner. I love chicken wings!!!!!
Hope you are all keeping safe in this heat.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.

Today I am grateful for fun at the swimming pool and for dd being able to swim further each time, for wet hair afterwards keeping us cooler until we got home, for harvesting some of my lavender and making up a sprig of stalks tied in a ribbon to give to mum tomorrow (I know that she will pull and pick at it and destroy in a short time, but at least she can enjoy the lavender smell whilst doing so), for a very useful talk with the estate agents, for planning my next knitting project (dogs and polar bears).

Kerry woman - enjoy your days out.

Toni'sfriend - just adding m name to the list of those who didn't break your loo brush!

Indigo - glad you are settled in.

Hi, no spending for me today and that gives me 20 no spend days :j:j:j . The second part of my challenge is to spend no more than £50 in the month. I might do it but will need to be very inventive where breakfasts and lunches are concerned. Dinners will not be a problem.

LOSE - I had to throw out 4 potatoes that had long sprouts and were so soft they were unpeelable ( is that a word :o) I have some Ayrshire potatoes that might be enough for 2 dinners.

LOSE - Late last night I went and pulled all the flowers off the Hostas plants in an effort to stop the wasps. There were hardly any wasps there today so it worked. I felt a bit mean but really don't like wasps. Been stung too many times.

YEARLY - Today I made a quilted panelled Xmas tree skirt for my friend. I made one for myself last Xmas and my friend liked it so much that I promised to make her one. I would never get all this sewing done if I was shopping and spending as normal.

GRATITUDE - I sat outside after dinner for a while reading. It's been cooler here the last few days but is a lot warmer again today. While sitting I noticed a steady stream of bumble bees flying in and out of an air vent about a metre from the front door. I enjoyed sitting watching them going about their business. I'm very grateful for this lovely weather - not nearly as hot as some areas are getting. But it's just nice for me xx
Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order :) )
  • Not counting the weekly grocery shop, yesterday was a NSD as will today be. So 12/13. Getting there!

Had a really useful chat with DH, we still don't have a fully agreed budget (we are used to managing our own) but I do now have a full list of all bills and when they are due which is a huge step. Good news is that on minimum income months (DH is SE) we can cover all bills, plus food and a little left over for spending. It is tight, but most months we have more income coming in. Have also suggested we have separate spending current accounts to avoid accidentally spending bill money :o and have opened a shiny new M0nz0 account. Hoping that the real time tracking helps with my need to check bank account and reconcile against spending tracker every day!

New Plan is from next month to set aside a chunk of cash for extra bills - if not needed it can go straight into savings. Means putting off another increase in mortgage OPs but we need the flexibility right now.

Have been walking every day despite the heat. Today I'm grateful for being able to talk rationally with DH on a thorny topic, and finally watching Mamma Mia 1 before going to see the new one!
