    Hi all :o

Today is NSD number10 - I need to spend tomorrow but I am aiming for 15 by the end of thr week.

Heating is still off, had a lot of washing to do when I got back so dried one load and hung the other- happy with that. I will be really happy if I can keep it off until month end. :money:

Swimming today so that takes care of ny excersize :j

Greatful today for mild weather, being at home, the help of my kind friend while hubs away :A

  • As expected yesterday was pretty spendy!!

Expecting today to be a NSD so that'll put me at 5/15. I'm working from home a lot next week so should really help. I'm less tempted to get stuff when I'm at home as I can just cook whatever. Will also help with lunches too as I can just have jacket potatoes at lunch which always taste nicer when done in an oven!

I've now got three weeks until the wedding. Flowers have now been paid for - venue will need final payment next week but I have paid off my credit card (to put the final payment venue on it). The credit card is 0% for about two years but I fully expect everything to be paid off by then!

I'm feeling pretty organised at the moment to be honest. Using up bits in the freezer today for brunch/dinner. Fancy a proper roast today so defrosted the pork last night from the freezer and we have lots of potatoes for dinner.

My budgets are okay - expecting next week to be cheap so won't need to do proper shop until next weekend I think.

I really need to keep my diet in check these next three weeks. I gave no more nights out planned until wedding day so I can really concentrate on diet and such.

I'm grateful for a relaxing day today and working from home tomorrow as I can work in my dressing gown!
    February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00

  • Sorry didn't' check in yesterday. Decided to stay off the laptop for the day and feel much better for the break tbh. Managed a NSD as well so think am up to 8 but need to double check.
Well done to those prepping for Christmas haven't started yet. Have a few ideas in the back of my head but need to physically sort a list i think so know where I stand.
On the count down to payday, still very cash poor and 10 days to go. No sign of the expenses refund I am waiting for. If it's not through tomorrow think I will have to write it off as not coming until payday. So annoying as was originally told it would be authorised and paid separately. Don't have work expenses very often but the process seems to change everytime I submit them
This weekend am grateful for my lovely friends, for a little bit of sunshine (before the storm hits) and free ebooks from library.

chasingsunshine its so frustrating waiting on money owed especially if you could do with it. Currently owed a few hundred pound from tax free childcare and they keep saying it will be there soon and have now been saying it for weeks with no real idea when I might expect it.

Have returned home having stuck to my NSD hurrah! Done a meal plan and I intend to get settled down for the eveninh as tomorrow is fairly full on.

Hope everyone's enjoying their Sunday xx

Right no excuses now the holiday's over.

Here are the plans I made on 2 October and where I am:

Organise list of freezer items made, will use up stocks from here and store cupboard first. Still on track with this.

Budgets: money in bank to cover all bills, credit card paid off. Food budget for the month is £250, other spending £400. Will look at shaving 10% off somewhere. Food £160.79/£250 so £89.21 left until end of the month. Other spending £348.27/£400 so only £51.73 left but this budget is every 4 weeks and new funds will be in the account a week tomorrow. Having said that Mr SA has had to bring his dental appointment forward due to losing a filling so might have to be a bit creative here. Spending in this budget has been heavy this month as needed extra cash for taxis/airport/etc

Get ready for winter need to book in flu jabs for Mr SA and I. He had a stem cell transplant 4 years ago so we both have to have one. Should've done this last month but forgot all about it. Also need to sort out heating programme as it's a brand new system and I've not got used to it yet. Not really had to bother about heating timer as been so mild, however, need to get it sorted before it gets cold. Booking in flu jabs is on my to do list for tomorrow

Always be kind I'll try still trying hard :D

No spend days aiming for 15 3/15,need to pull my socks up

Improvise still got ongoing home improvements which ideally I'd like finished by Christmas. Some new items will need to be bought but if I can make do by up cycling some things I will. Having hall and DD's room plastered but not going to have our room done as doesn't look too bad with a lick of paint and the wardrobe can go where the plaster doesn't look great

Stoptober aiming to only drink wine at weekends. Need to reinstate counting my WW points as am 4lb over goal at the moment. starting this tomorrow ;)

Exercise aiming to do 20k steps a day plus 3 times a week in the gym once I'm back at work. Starting tomorrow

One more time get back into WeightWatchers properly, I'm a Gold member who has lapsed a bit. Also aiming to stick to budgets, which I always say I'm going to do but fall off the wagon. Another one starting tomorrow. Was too scared to go to weigh in yesterday but will have to face the music next week:o

Christmas not that many presents to buy, just DS and GF, DD, DGD and DGS plus Mr SA. Already got the money in my VSP which I've been saving all year. Going to two work Christmas meals, one of which I've paid in full for and the other £10 deposit. £656.24 in VSP :)

Banned this will have to start when I get back from holiday although have got a lunch with friends planned for when I get back which will still be going ahead. lunch with friends planned for this coming Friday but will be a cheap one in 'Spoons

Extra income just started doing surveys again, TCB should be payable soon, often get shopping vouchers from work. Will keep a running total. So far only £3 from bank reward but there's money payable in TCB to come, plus £10 cashback reward from bank, plus £75 voucher for taking out insurance policy not received yet

Report will try to check in daily with progress except for when I'm on holiday. Back on to this now

Have a great week everyone :)
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Spendy day yesterday - I had to go to the supermarket to get some things for work so took the opportunity to get my coffee while I was there....it's the only one that does the brand and I'm just not using enough stuff to do a wholesale order yet. So £15 spent on 4 jars but that should do me the month :)

Haven't managed the exercise or the checking in....doing 6 days a week and late nights at the moment - think I covered about 70 hours this week so not much time for anything if I'm honest!! It will all be worth it in the end but it's difficult to keep up with the things that I know I should be doing - I've done nothing today despite the fact that the house looks like a bombsite and I have enough laundry to sink a battleship!!:o On the plus side, i'm not spending money!! ;):rotfl:

Anyhoo, I'm rambling.....keep it up everyone, you're all doing great!!:T
  • Apologies all.
Too much to do and not enough hours in the day to do it. I hate when things get like that because all I do is work and sleep.
I'm trying to keep the faith in the background - sorry I'm not on a bit more.

    Day 15
    Another NSD achieved 11/20.
Not much doing today. Caught up some more programmes I recorded.
No reading my book or exercise.
Made a fruit cake with ingredients already in. This will be used to go along with lunches this week.
I forgot to say that I did manage to put in a bag of £1 coins into my savings account yesterday. So account is now £20 better off.
Also managed to get 66p off next week's shopping using the price guarantee. This was from yesterday's food shop.
    Grateful for:
    Having another chilled out/relaxing day.
Having time to make a cake.
Finding time to read my book and study guide which is part of my goal.
Finding a document on line and printing off a copy. This was the document for the study day this month. So saved £3. This was the price it was selling for at the last study day. It was a booklet.
