greent Ihope your OH is all right
Yesterday was a total disaster: Shoe shopping for DD1 who is very attached to her brands and very big footed= very stressful day. Did manage to look at the budget though.
Thanks Mothernerd – took your advice and managed to make a start. Bizzie: I try to tie in half term crafts with term topics. (this term is chocolate for one and industrialisation for the other so we’re making cakes hahaha) There are often craft challenges in magazines we get through the library’s e-book scheme <- Fab if you are long way off from a library, but also free.
Organise: Check in to this thread in a morning as I think it will keep me on track. Today is mostly work from home day. I need to outline a project and prep an article. I want to get the food plan sorted, also pre-cook tonight’s meal as its Rainbows night. List the stuff on ebay. Chase up a stagnant PPI, and find paperwork for another.
Budget: Looking at spends in the past and such Food Budget will stand at 240 a month and fuel 100 – day trips go into social funds which I haven’t looked at yet. So I am setting whats left of this months Food Budget at 120 and 50 on fuel.
NSDs:1/ 20 yesterday was supposed to be a NSD. I hate shoe shopping for DD1. We can never find anything that she approves of and that fits and it always ends up with everyone in a bad mood. Clarks (outlet) did used to be my fall back but not any more. In fairness its hard being a teen, but what kind of school doesn’t allow boots for winter? All the kids are wearing trainers, £50!
Today is supposed to be NSD …
Christmas: Gap had a special on £75 spend and get free hoodie. Nearly caved in and bought a bucket of stuff that while nice wasn’t needed. Then I remembered having to atone here
One More Time: Gym. The special offer I signed up to is about it run out. I have to decide if £20 a month is worth the peace of mind it brings me. Gym time is my time and I always feel better for going. But some weeks I only make it once.
Stoptober: All ate the same meal last night despite everything being dead set against disrupting plans.
Exercise: 14500 steps around an outlet (About seventeen billion circuits) of set by MDs lunch L
Extra income: I’ve some clothes and dressups to get on Ebay – which I plan to do this evening.SaveDebt Free April 2019:j to July 2019NEW WTC:eek:1,194

Greent I hope OH is ok!!
Today will defo be a spend day as I am off to Aldi and boots- I have cut out some coupons though. Got 3 pound off 3 baby bath products in boots which are on 2 for 2 pounds so hoping I can get 4 bottles for 1  but that does mean Im still on 10.
Left over pasta bake for tea tonight, deliberately made too much to save some for other meals.
Heating is still off. Pushing my luck slightly with drying. Currently hanging over doors as it just isnt drying quick enough and I only have one clothes horse. Debating getting another.
Mondays is always my crazy day
Greatful for my precious boy who is one today, for pancakes for breakfast as a treat & for hub being hone this week xx0 -
Hello,
back from our holiday. It was great and felt way longer than a week as we were in so many different places. Had to pull out of my triathlon though as I got into difficulties in the water. Well miffed. But hey better save than sorry.
No idea how many NDS I had (or not) and spend a bit more than budgeted. But finances don't look too bad. DH will be away of a week soon and that will help with the spends for the rest of the month.
Will try and catch up with the posts during the day.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Greent - Hope you and your OH are both OK. It's a terrible shock when something like that happens.
Nothing much to report for yesterday but it was NSD 4/12
Lots to do today so better get on.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0 -
greent sending get well wishes for OH and hugs for you (you can give him some of the hugs if you want to).
Was writing down comments but have just had 2 pens conk out on me (using up, using up). I stopped sewing at 3am (couldn't keep awake any longer). I have slept well but am still dozy (could fall asleep on a log). May take the sewing to mum's as I haven't that much left to do.
Life in the slow lane for me today, I think. Get ready for the day, shop for mum then taxi straight there from Icyland. Prospects not good for working outside.
Tomorrow will be a domestic day - recycling goes out this week so round up bottles and cans (disinter there's from the bag they've put everything in). Did do some stuff to the bins and some washing pegged out and brought in whilst waiting for things to cook yesterday.
Today I am grateful that an arduous task is nearly completed, that DS3 has done 3 days without takeaways (beloved has now used my stock pots which were the only clean pans left) and that I feel good despite tiredness (sleepy little dormouse - "every one a fluffy one". Have a good day turtles. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Christmas heads up Rumour I just overheard outside local Sainsburys. I couldn't tell if it was staff talking or not, but supposedly their big toy sale starts on Wednesday. A quick google shows a couple of bloggers agreeing with 18th being the start. I've hit this for the past 9 years in one format or another and it matches up with past dates. Good for Under 8yr old gifts. Just thought I'd share with anyone who might be able to hit the stores.Debt Free April 2019:j to July 2019

DancingThanks for the tip.
As expected I spent today but i did use coupons in boots - spent 5 pounds gor 8 packs of wipes, 4 baby baths and 2 packs of 4 fruit pots for my boys. Then picked up a free lucozade.
For snyone who gets the tesco mag dolmios sauces are 1 pound and there's a 50p off voucher in the mag making them 50p each for sugar free pasta sauces. Normally 2 pounds :money:
Hoping to avoid the shops now til Friday at least.
Now just tp unpack it all :eek:0 -
Just had a phone call from the Council to inform me that they will be replacing our boiler and central heating system on 1 November and it will take 3 days. That's the good news. The bad is that I'm going on holiday to Amsterdam on the 6th and have no idea how I am going to get things sorted before I go. Got 2 weeks to try to prepare the house. It's a small house and every room will be affected. I don't know where we're going to put everything. The carpets and flooring all have to be taken up or at least pulled back to allow access to the floorboards and all furniture has to be moved out of the way. In addition they will be arriving at 8.00am and we will have to vacate the premises. Don't know where we're supposed to go. I'm hoping my son might go and stay with a friend for a couple of days. Right now I am mega stressed! Am I allowed a G & T?Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.0

Greent hope your OH is ok and they catch who did it. such a shock for you and him.
Friday and today were NSD so now at 7 I think.
small spends over the weekend so i'll update budget.
lovely visit from DS1 today I don't see him often enough now he's flown the nest
spent the rest of the day collecting sorting out and re distributing brochures which will hopefully bring in some extra cash at the end of the month.
managed to get all the ironing done over the weekend and 2 bags of stuff to the charity shop still loads to sort out and DS1 brought a load of stuff for us to 'look after' with him today. he's between houses and has nowhere to store it
DD has a school trip tomorrow and they have been told they can take £3 spending money and we have also had letters for the school halloween disco £3 each so will need to add £9 to school spends tomorrow then they have a pre loved toy fair on thursday where they can take £1 each to buy a toy. I can't remember school being this expensive when DS1 was at school  I suppose they will benefit from the school fund in the long run.
managed to get half price biscuits in M&S at wkend to give as school support staff presents at christmas they've gone in the box with the half price celebrations from MrT I got for part of nephews presents.
This is turning into a long post so better do my sumary :rotfl:

Firstly, thank you apple, ilovetea, Kerry Woman, bizzie, Dancing Dragons, laurenh1, moneysavingfamilycomp and mothernerd - OH is ok
He was very shaken up yesterday and has clearly hurt his lower back in trying to hold back the other guy (was slammed to the floor and jumped on - OH grabbed his ankles to stop kicks and they ended up rolling around - lots of grass stains on his clothes yesterday. Other than that I think he is ok. His phone got damaged, but that's only a 'thing'. Police are following it up (seemingly only because OH wants them to) in 'slow time' There was one witness who stopped (about a dozen or so other cars drove past apparently (I was at home) and no-one stopped) and the police have their details (a young girl (by which OH means around 20)- am very impressed with her actions)
