Spending on Birthday/Christmas gifts, school uniform and chocolate for dc - not me. Will update signature later.
Extra shift at work today to cover an absence, it will all be worth it come next month's payday.
Dinner made from leftovers/store cupboard items.
Managed one load of laundry washed and dried outside despite the weird and wonderful orange light we had today.

DancingDragons thank you replying - I must follow up the e-option from my local library. Up to now I've stuck with physical books but I know, from reading other threads, that there is much more to get from membership. I have tickets at the ready for a visit later this week or during half term.

    Hi everyone ,

    Just checking in.

Today will be NSD number 11. Hoping to stay out of the shops at least until fri but preferably all week, lets see how we go on.

Did a bit of a late night next shop last night but still pleased I did as my LO needed some bits :)

Had some extra cash go in my account this morning which I have saved. I have started pricing up some big buys for next year so I can do new budgets.

    Heating is still off.

Gave hubby his budget for his side of xmas shopping.

Greatful for - being warm and dry inside through bad weather. For my lovely friend giving my boys their tea and making evenings easier.
  • NSDs:1/ 20 Failed to make this two. I had to get basics. Utterly empty on Bread and Milk, and the house falls apart when the fruit bowl is empty. Pleased that I caught plenty of orange label reductions and Used the last of my £10 Coop vouchers gained from insurance switch, but still had to spend another £7. I shouldn't need to buy anything till Thursday. Tues and Wed I tend to have to wait for my DD1 to get out of drama so hide in a coffee shop. I'm allowing £2 per day and £5 for DD1 dinner as its far to late to feed her the time we get back. Next week I'm going to try and find a way to get her a decent meal prepared. MAybe a spag bol in a thermos? Thats as close to SFDs as I can get till Fri.If I plan my food shop thursday I might get back on track.
Christmas: Collected Pine Cones in the church yard yesterday. We already have the glitter spray. I intend to make Christmas Wreaths with the kids in December. Need to order noodles.
Stoptober: One meal to rule them all achieved again.
Extra income: Ebay stuff is scheduled for Sunday.
Debt Free April 2019:j to July 2019 :( NEW WTC:eek:1,194

    Update for Sunday and yesterday

Organise - diced beef needed used up on Sunday so stuck it in the slow cooker with various veg and the last of a bottle of red wine. Wasn't hungry on Sunday so a nice easy tea last night. There's still some leftover so if OH doesn't eat it for tea tonight, it will go into the freezer for another night

    Budget - £127.46/£150 food, £15/£20 social
Spent £11.06 on a few bits yesterday - fruit, veg, yoghurt, milk, eggs, crackers and cheese. Still 2 weeks left in the month and only £22.54 left in the food budget :o

NSDs - 11/20 on Sunday, spent on food yesterday plus £8.98 on toiletries

Exercise - 11,000 steps on Sunday, 18,000 yesterday

Banned - went out for Sunday lunch with the family but my dad paid :)

Christmas - still not made a budget for this but had a look online for OH's main gift and picked up a b00ts gift guide to have a flick through

Extra income - completed a few surveys and 30 mins overtime at work yesterday

Glad to hear your OH is ok greent and hugs to any turtle who needs one :)
    Mortgage 26.4.25 - £108,500  1.8.25 - £106,362.86
    Mortgage overpayment savings - £3.33/£50
Mortgage overpayments so far - £675.98

Feeling calmer after yesterday afternoon and checking in with NSD no 5 for yesterday. Did some houseworky things but didn't get out due to Ophelia. Still eating from freezer but to be honest it doesn't seem to be getting any emptier.
Have decided to treat the new central heating installation as an opportunity for a major declutter before Christmas.
Greent - We found ourselves in a similar situation some years ago and it wasn't so much the physical effects as the mental that had an impact. Really shakes you up. Just keep an eye on Hubby and take care of yourself as well.
Hope you are all safe in this awful weather.
Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.
