Hellooooooooo GSRcat and Siouxsie - lovely to hear from you and fgreat that you are still around. Do join in for the rest of the month - why don't you just do the challenge form now on, but do 2/3 of it (seeing as how we are on day 10/30 - good maths, huh?)?

chairing555 - welcome to you too! Same as above - set yourself the targets at 2/3 of the original and you are good to go!

syn - what I often do is pay off a fixed amount at the start of the month, then do an end of the month scoop up of what is left. maybe pay over a little extra, so that you have paid a little over, but not necessarily enough to cause you worry. Then, month by month you can increase the extra amount.

Calling - your emergency fund is doing its job! Well done you.

    Evening all,

Welcome back GSRcat and Siouxsie32 :) and welcome chairing555

Hugs calling - did you look at the doggles? I have to resist as I always end up bringing another one home!

Today has been a SFD :) I am so glad I do this challenge as otherwise I would just go to the shop and buy chocolate every day at the moment.

Nothing much happening here apart from work, eat, sleep and repeat ;)

Thanks for thinking of me. It went ok. Could have been better; could have been worse. I am far from being on top form at the moment with everything else that's going on so the face that I wasn't slated is good in my opinion.
I've literally never stopped and I am exhausted, so it's a quick check in from me before I try for a good night's sleep.
Another nsd - no time for spending.
    Things I am grateful for:
My kids being well behaved and looking out for each other.
Getting my observation out of the way today.
    Letting criticism wash over me.
  • Calling - forgot to say I hope you're doing ok. x
  • Today I am grateful that dd loved brownies, that my sister is here for a flying visit, that my fitbit was found (if you own one, you'll umderstand my panic at losing it - quite daft, really!), that I found a small bar of 85% chocolate in the cupboard, that new people (and oldies too) want to (re)join the ninja saving turtles!

Another lunch to work day yesterday: NSD's thin on the ground and I need to assess why...
    Things to be grateful for:
    • The makers of Gaviscon :o
    • That I managed to find some small print and stop a panic:T
    • My resilience.

A warm welcome to new and returning turtles.

A lovely day here and no money (of mine) spent. DS3 offered me money to go to the shops (he wanted chocolate and cookies) and hasn't asked for his change back so I have made a profit.

Spare washing line is up, one length is doubled, lots of washing has been dried, recyclables have been rounded up, rinsed and binned and the green bin has been filled (but I went with the easy option of chopping back the ivy rather than the tougher weeds).

I an still frustrated by how quickly I run out of energy. DS3 posited the theory that I am ill due to selling the house. rather like the way you keep going to work and then get sick the moment you start your holiday, because I have been so stretched and stressed and the house sale will pay for mum's bungalow, deal with the debts and leave me with a tiny nest egg, my body has decided it can afford the luxury of being ill. Need to go back to the doctor's but reluctant to waste the best part of half a day. Think the referral for counselling might be useful. I feel okay but could be a lot better.

I have sorted all the paperwork I need for making some important phone calls and got a confirmation e-mail from StepChange about the TPP starting.

Today I am grateful for lovely sunshine, for a new novel by one of my favourite authors and for an entertaining afternoon with DS3.
