mothernerd - how annoying for you about your washing line.
justforme - oh dear, hope your aches go away soon.
Uneventful day today, the weather is wild so dog walk was very short. I have done some cleaning, some ironing, made a lentil soup and soda bread for tea and I will do a T25 workout later.
No money spent today although I did order a Christmas present on Tesco direct yesterday using my clubcard voucher before it even arrived in the post, it was only £4.50 as we hardly shop there now so I couldn't double it up but the game I ordered was £5 cheaper there than I had seen earlier in the day in the shops so almost £10 cheaper with the voucher too.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Starting to feel that I am slightly paranoid about the washing line. My reasoning is that the break was very clean and at the point where the line doubles back at the boundary wall. If the weight of the clothes had been too much there is usually some sign of the line stretching before it gives way and it's along the line of clothes. I had heard a girl laughing the night before but had not investigated.
As to whom, there is a small hooligan element amongst the largely harmless 'youth' who gather on the car park in the evenings. I have been distressed to see damaged trees during the summer - dug up, torn apart (only little runty trees but they will not grow if disturbed) but had no idea who was doing it. A couple of weeks ago I saw three youths tearing apart a tree at my end of the car park. They set light to a two foot length which then rolled under the back of a parked car. I hovered, ready to call the police or fire brigade and trying to see anything that might allow me to identify/ describe them but they managed to get the branch out and then retreated to the far side of the car park.
So it's a nuisance but I am dealing with it (I think - sounded a bit obsessed then).
DS3's beloved has gone home leaving both of us with a dafter then usual sleeping pattern and a sleep deficit. Fell asleep three times reading and then spent several hours staring into the dark.
Currently surrounded by regurgitated frogs (perhaps related to lack of sleep). On Saturday I dealt with the bathmat - washed at least twice but not smelling clean or nice. Think it is getting waterlogged and then will not spin so when hung up to dry the washing powder is still in it.
I put it in the bath with some clean water, scrabbled with my nails to release the powder, rolled it in a sausage to squeeze out as much water as possible, gave it a quick spin and then put it outside to dry. Was quite pleased with my efforts except it was on the line that broke/ got cut. back to square one.
Have spent some time trying to complain about my green bin (at the other house) not being emptied. Has happened on several occasions. Wrestled with the website, then got a message saying something had gone wrong during my report and to try again later. Wanted it done today as should be emptied tomorrow, so if not done could have reported the 'second incident'. Now it will only count as one 'event'.
DS3 came to see what was the matter and told my I was getting too stressed, so going to have a lazy evening, hopefully a proper night's sleep and a fresh start in the morning.
Today I am grateful for hot baths, good books and DS3 doing his bit to look after me (not much, not very often, but enough). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Today I am grateful for my knitting skills, for laughter at work, for wading through the most urgent of my work, for biting the bullet and booking on a course on thurs, for bedtime reading with dd.
I drank my water, did 400 kettlebell swings, remained grain (but not sugar) free, took a bag to the Sally Army, and got another NSD.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Quick and late check in from me. I have an observed lesson tomorrow and still haven't finished my powerpoint.
Didn't get another nsd because the day didn't go according to plan and I had to grab a quick takeaway meal for the kids for dinner. Not something I enjoy doing but it was a bit of an emergency.
Today I am grateful for:
Having good friends (that includes you applemuncher)
Being able to afford to keep a roof off my head
