NST: Standing Firm in November

Great minds think alike apple. When I did my payment plans last month to get to debt freedom, I only put myself down to pay more than minimum payments from January onwards. The extra money this month has allowed me the luxuries of new curtains, shower curtains and a door mat! I am definitely the last of the big spenders! I just feel so guilty spending any money nowadays.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Um... not sure about "Cat Stew!"
Three things to be grateful for today:- lovely, long, relaxing bath
- afternoon watching film on sofa with OH
- boiled duck eggs and soldiers for tea
Not grateful that it's the last Downton tonight (I got a bit bored in the middle series, and I know it's for the best, but...)0 -
PS anyone know why my avatar doesn't show? What am I doing wrong? I can see it when I type but it doesn't come up on my posts.0

I can see it black cat. When did you steal one of our cats - we had three of those and when they were kittens they had to have different coloured collars (co-ordinated with their respective boys) so that we knew who we were talking to. The last one died (aged 18) in February of last year.
Yes I talk to cats (they listen more than boys). Soon after we got them, my ex had come to pick up the boys for the weekend. I went to the back door to call the cats for their tea. "Don't be stupid, they're cats not dogs, you...." he didn't get any further because the kittens all trotted in.My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
We have two totally black cats - but very easy to tell apart. What an idiot - of course the cats are going to come when called for food! We feed ours at different times depending on when we're home but the earliest time for cat tea is 5pm. One of ours seems to be able to tell the time and will let us know when it's 5 o'clock! As for talking, they talk back. We have some fantastic conversations0

Evening all - 2 spend days in a row  Better make sure I'm not on the slippery slope. Did my tutoring today and then took dd to her tumbling class. We came home via Asda as she was certain she could get new shoes there cheaply - I wasn't but am happy to admit that she was right this time. £9 for a pair of school shoes, plus toothbrushes and pizza with cashback and a load of bakery ys items.
DH isn't going back to work tomorrow. He hasn't wanted to talk so I've written him a letter.
Things I am grateful for:
1. Still being debt free
2. Being comfortable enough with myself that I can deal with issues at home.
3. My MSE dd - choosing a £9 pair of shoes. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

Sorry I didn't post yesterday - Real life got in the way!
yesterday was almost a NSD since almost all of my shopping basket was yellow stickers! Today I took DD to the cinema to see Hotel Transylvania 2. I had a voucher of one free place but I was horrified at the cost for a child. It was less than an adult but only by about 20%. I shan't be going again for quite some time.
today I am grateful for:
sunshine, finding a free parking space, getting all the washing done on the cheap rate electricity today.Trying to keep in budget.

Completely agree about cats black cat and mothernerd, mine comes when I whistle (I didn't have a cat flap when I first got him) and he wakes me up if I sleep in past 6am as that's breakfast time!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)
