  • I'd completely forgotten about the Hairy Baby maker in Father Ted. That was such a good show :rotfl:
I'm afraid Big Hero 6 never mentions the cat again apart from that scene where he calls her the Hairy Baby - she looks so like our well behaved tortie as well.

Morning everyone :) I'll just go for Catwoman, lol. Well I was annoyed at myself for feeling bad about not getting the little one a Lego Ferrari truck thing for 50 quid (reduced to) on Amazoon. Did he want it, no -but did swoon when he saw it. I didn't buy it and checked on it this morning and it's back in the 70s. I'm grateful that my debt busting gaurdian angel, saw through all this christmas lark and stopped me believing I could afford something because I have a piece of plastic with a long number in my bag. But annoyed that I even contemplated going over budget  His toys I did order on budget arrived yesterday and he's had a face like a wet weekend in march because christmas is too far away-yes to you who doesn't have to make it happen, but to me,it too close  Well done to all those that have shown such kindness to others :T that's great! Well today, not much planned other than my weekend chores of getting stuff ready for the week ahead. I'm loving my new clothes that I've nicked from the stuff DD left when she went to uni. I didn't realise how much stuff she had and these are the leftovers  Well they're serving me well :) Have a good day everyone and take are :)

Savvy Shopper! I've been Money Tipped!
Love all the cat names. And thanks for the back story on Big hero 6 Mothernerd :)

Fmess - I really hope your house doesn't have subsidence. I don't have much of use to say on that but the flat we own we bought without knowing that the house next door had been underpinned. The works affected our property too. Only the dodgy developer we bought from didn't think to mention that. We only found out about 6 months later from our upstairs neighbours who presented us with a file a mile thick full of information on the works. We now have to pay for non standard insurance so can never get a better deal. We pay about 3 times the going rate because our insurer puts it up every year. The fact that a property once underpinned is never likely to reslip makes the way insurers do it insane really.
I'm rambling but suffice to say the sooner any issues are addressed the less the damage should be.
Loads of properties suffer in our area of London. It's the clay apparently. Do you have mature trees nearby? They can also be contributing to any issues.

Apologies for not posting for two days, I have been feeling unwell, feeling a bit better today so hopefully I am coming out the other side. Friday was a SFD but Saturday wasn't , I am hoping today will be.

Feeling a little overwhelmed with everything at the minute, Living with MIL, not saved any money for moving out , trying to loose weight, get to the gym and get out of the overdraft. maybe I am trying to do too much.

I have a SW class I go to and have bought a 12 week countdown not sure why I did, thought it would help me but has put more pressure on to be honest.

I am trying to control too much and not live in the moment , does anyone else have this issue ??

Anyway I AM going to end on a positive note, sorry for being a debbie downer you are all so positive and inspirational :T:T

    my three positives

    1. listening to the sea whilst drinking a cuppa
    2. OH home safe after his shift
    3. my fellow turtles , you guys rock :A

signing off for now, I will check in later

    Have a lovely Sunday everyone

    Catdrar checking in!

Congrats black cat and CCL, it reminds me that being debt free can be done. Happy birthday for yesterday bob!

Lucky your post just reminded me of me a few months ago. I'd piled the stress on myself to get things done and nearly exploded with it all. Funny thing was no one was forcing me to do any of it, it was all in my head! I sacked off SW as I found the constant messages from the consultant and weekly weigh ins in the group, then explaining yourself afterwards not at all motivating, just super stressful and it filled me with dread every week. I'm now doing WW online, so much cheaper and at my own pace, I call the shots and I think because of that and the lack of pressure to perform its working really well. I'm 8lbs down now so very happy.

I had a NSD yesterday, will have another today. I'm a bit annoyed with myself that I've spent my months food budget already, bought a couple of things not on my list and it's just spiralled. But I will live with the consequences and learn my lesson. I also need to get cracking on the exercise and drink more water, some days I'm doing some not, I need to get more consistent. I did tidy my flat yesterday which was one of my new habits as I'm a bit of a slob when no ones watching.

Anyways I have to go to work today, not my day to work but I've so much to do I just need to get a to do list sorted and plough through the admin side of work so I can start fresh tomorrow and sleep easier. Have a good day y'all

    Hi all.

Not much going on here so far today. DS has played football and DH car shared with another dad so petrol saved there. I have a beef stew chugging away in the slow cooker and a chocolate gateaux defrosting in the fridge, the washer is on for the second time (football kit) and the dishwasher has been emptied and part refilled.

The kids are going on a joint Christmas outing with cubs/scouts which is £7 each, I have agreed with them that me and DH will pay £5 each for them and they need to contribute £2 each, after some moaning and coppering up they have complied.

Not sure of the plan for the rest of the day but will try to check in later.

  • Academiacat, reporting for duty :) belated congrats CCL! Bob, hope you enjoyed your birthday.
Been feeling very rough the last few days, allergies playing up badly but antihistamines and open windows seem to have got them under control for the time being. Been shopping today, spent 6p under budget so I'm happy! Got a stew in the slow cooker (snap, Dolly!) and got some salmon and mackerel for teas the rest of the week.
Today I'm grateful for cups of tea made by my OH, the smell of onions cooking (I just love it, not sure why!), and days off. Hope all turtles are doing well :)
Bought my first house in 2014 - now, to be mortgage free! :D

Just took the clothes i decluttered a couple if days ago into a the charity shop, and also took a box for my parents, so thjnk the counts as helping others ;)

    Today I am grateful for
    1. My family
    2. Nice smelling candles when your friends are on the way over and u ha ent cleaned
    3. Dh because he's just done the dishes :)
