CCL congratulations well done you.
Bob belated birthday greetings - Hope you had a lovely day.
Been painting all weekend my bathroom still at it. Given up counting how many coats it has had. Painting it white had a dark colour before.
Yesterday bought milk and chocolate. Thought I was doing well until light bulb blew about 4.50pm so race to hardware store as unusual one and had to be bathroom one. Ending up spending £6 as had no cash on me and only take cards over fiver. Things I needed though.
Today Sfd covered in paint and no chance of a shower until painting finished and dried- late tonight. Weather disgusting here.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -

Sorry to hear there are poorly people aboard. It's really not nice is it ,get well soon Lucky & Academia.
I have a confession to make. I went on my bike today. Just for a little ride but it was brilliant. I felt so free. I am definately going to try and move towards a cargo bike set up for early next year. My son would love it. once I figure out how I can make it safe for DD.
It's the last episode of Downton tonight. So settling down early for that. Homework and housework complete.

Thank you for all your kind words about the house. Unfortunately, I have done more research and it seems very likely to be subsidence. There are 6 large fern trees that start about 1m away form my property, my neighbour planted them many years ago instead of a hedge. Unfortunately, at the moment my neighbour's house is empty and in the process of being sold so there is no-one to ask to get them trimmed back to reduce them sucking all the water out of the clay soil. Fingers crossed there may be something that can go through the insurance, but if not then I'll deal with it.
Today has been a spendy day but it has all come from the money I had already put to one side. I got some bargainous curtains, reduced to half price and then one had a little hole in so got another third offI have been after thick winter curtains for my room for ages and kept putting it off but after discussions with friends yesterday, I decided that I really need to pay back my debt in a more realistic way as after 2 years I am burnt out. I can't keep juggling everything and the stress of work is bringing me down at the moment. So new curtains will obviously solve all my problems

Fmess - curtains will definitely solve all your problems! You have been through an awful lot over the last few months, and probably do need to give yourself a month or two of more easy living. If you were to imagine that Jan 1st (or another random date) were the start of your debt-busting journey, and that you had from now until then to imagine many and various ways of how to pay it off, would that help?
Bummer about those pesky trees. Can one conveniently kill off fern trees? I know one can with sycamores... hammer a 1-2" piece of copper piping low down into the trunk. Or strip off a 6 inch height of the bark all the way round to stop the sap rising. Maybe something similar with ferns? Get your balaclava out...
Bob - steady now girl!!!! I guess the sense of freedom was totally awesome!!!
Confession time here,a s I have broken one of the rules. Dh had told me to move over to my account the monies I have leant/given the neighbour, as he thinks we may not see it again and doesn't want me to be out of pocket (bless him!). So I moved it online and then dd and I went up to the cashpoint to get some out. We went past c0sta and she asked for a strawberry cooler thingy - it is one of the few special drinks she can have when we are out and about. So we went in and I had a coffee too. Thus breaking the rule. I have given myself a stern talking to but I must admit that it was a lovely time, walking there and back and chatting with dd (!)
I drank my water this morning and did 300 more kettlebell swings.
Today I am grateful for my dh looking after me, for a lovely rememberance service at church, for a great chat with MIL (she's in Texas), for a good walk and chat with dd, for not getting rained on.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Grateful for 3 things
- It didn't rain till I was safely back home!
- Limescale in the loo is being vanquished by a 21p bottle of vinegar
- Needed a new mattress protector as I'd made the mistake of buying a budget one: found a really expensive brand massively reduced.:j Now, it says this mattress protector will regulate my temperature as I sleep. We'll see

Hi all
Today I am grateful for a good turn out by my Scout Group at Remembrance Service, it staying dry whilst the service was on and for being curled up on the settee in my dressing gown with my DD.
Congratulations to the 2 cat families!
Hope everyone's having a good day

A NSD. Bad start as someone has cut my washing line so two lines of washing to re-wash. Rest of the day just keeping the wolf from the door. I now have bacon soup, lovely lamb curry, quiches, crumbles and scones (6 cooked the rest flash frozen to cook some other time). Lots of cleaning (mainly pots) and a few empty spaces from all the things being used up. Need to play freezer tetris later.
Today I am grateful for my washing machine, for DS3 and his gf (amiable but non-intrusive company) and finding three more things for the charity bin. Sorry, want to say things to people but so very tired. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
