Have been out into town and we spent money. I bought a case of red wine which worked out at £3/bottle I did use nectar points as well making it even less really, also got nuts for DH and cherryade for the kids. I spent £5 in the poundshop on porridge, breakfast biscuits, chocolate, a candle and some lipbalms for DD's Christmas stocking.
I also used Boots points to get my favourite toothpaste half price and floss, the toothpaste comes with a fab toothbrush so a good deal on that.
Me and DH walked the dog and got caught in a downpour - the dog, despite been waterproof was not happy.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Good evening Turtles
and thank you all for the kind words. I still can't quite believe it - and I think I'll need to think about leaving celebrating into December because I have a tough three weeks ahead. I'll need to be more frugal than I've ever been.
Little bit of a spendy day today - first one of the month. However, it wasn't as I was expecting on lunch at the caf! in town. I made lunch at home, then dh dropped me and dd in town for gymnastics while ds decided to give it a miss and go to the football with dh. After that we went home via BM bargains and I picked up a couple of 'luxury' items. There are a couple of brands that we like but are quite expensive like a certain 57 variety ketchup, and a fizzy cola drink so I stocked up on them along with some tuna on offer. Nothing too extravagant. We walked home from town so plenty of fresh air today.
Things I am grateful for today
1. A bit of time to myself to put my feet up.
2. Being debt free
3. My family and friends. Not giving up
Working hard to pay off my debt
Time to take back control

How about we have a month were 1 of the rules is everyone must have the word Cat somewhere in their user name. Obviously super helpful for debt busting
I'd be Bob Cat for starters which actually sounds fantastic:rotfl:" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Bob cat sounds really good. I'll be cat girl? Or The Only Cat Girl?
NSD number 3/15 at last. Been stuck all day in church, lots of things going on, so no spend. Will soon try to catch a few winks before my night shift.
Three things I am thankful for
1. Received my parcel from eBay, bought a pair of clarks boors for a great bargain ( coming from my own personal allowance)
2. Restful day today
3. A friend told me about a news that made me cry with joy. Two years ago today, we took in a family of 3 to live with us before they were evicted from their deplorable living accommodation. Both parents didn't have a job and they just moved to the UK from Spain, with hardly any word of English. They came and lived with us for 6 months, until the dad got a job and the council also managed to find them a place to live. Fast forward to last week and the mum told me today that she was offered a clerical job in the college where she goes to learn English and where she's been volunteering in the office for almost a year. Last week she received her first pay packet! I was so proud of what they have achieved in the short space of time since they moved out of our house and began establishing themselves. I feel like a mother hen whose chicks have started to live on their own. It feels like a fairy tale with a perfect ending but in reality it is only just beginning."There is Life AFTER DEBT."LBM 2009 Total Debt £49046.24 Debt Free as of 27/08/20150 -

Then we would need Hairy Baby Day Care - that was the film DS3 made me watch (I kept falling asleep) so that I would understand his new T shirt. (T shirt is hairy baby, can't remember the film title but probably those with children will, it's about unlikely super heroes). My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0
