Be aware that if you remove any add-ons when using the Sky Entertainment package then it looks like you can't add them back without also agreeing to change to the new Signature base pack at £15 a month. In my case that means the base price for Entertainment goes from £13.60 (plus £2 for HD) to £15 for Signature with HD at £0 for 2 months and then full price £6 a month.
Strangely when I cancelled HD down on the phone they failed to mention this.0 -
Been with Sky for too many years, had the old sky box and remote and was paying £87 per month as we had Sky Sports, Movies and Childrens channels. Son-in-law came round and couldn't believe we were paying so much for such old equipment non HD and not all the channels available. told us to cancel Sky and see what deal they came back with. We did just that - I phoned and cancelled, they asked why and I said too expensive for old equipment - they offered to reduce it to £50 per month and I could then purchase a new 'Q' box for £30 and installation of £30. Again son-in-law said say NO, very reluctantly I said sorry no not enough reduction and was told okay we will cancel then, at which I panicked but did as I was told (for once) and stuck to my guns - so expecting that within the next 30 days they would cancel my subscription. BUT wait for it with just 7 days to go I received a call from Sky offering me a new deal which was, new Sky 'Q' box free, no charge for installation, all tv package including sport and movies childrens and box sets in HD for the cost of £39 per month - so in total I am saving £48 per month and new equipment and HD - winner or what - just goes to show if you do hold out Sky will call back and try their upmost to do a deal to keep you as their customer - will be going back and getting Broadband added when our BT Broadband runs out in January 2021

I communicated with Sky yesterday via their online chat (which incidentally works well but the staff have a strange way of just going on they break if it is due and pausing the chat!) I managed to negotiate my bill down from £107 for all channels, sport, Netflix etc to £89.50. This is keeping all the channels I had before and adding BT Sport. I had no issue with BT sport via BT, but I couldn't watch it on the miniboxes and only 1 person could watch sports via the app at once. I am happy with the reduction of £40 (before adding BT).0

Anyone got a contact no for Sky Broadband ? As it appears that they have no live chat at present.I have been happy enough with them, but my latest 18 month contract has recently ended, and i want to see if i can haggle a better deal.Currently paying £23 per month for "normal" 11mb broadband + phone line, no calls included ( which is fine )If i click to upgrade to next speed up, its saying £32 per month. The really fast speed not available in my area..£32 sounds a bit over the top to me ( £23 probably is for normal as well ) allegedly includes a £5 per month discount for a new 18 month contract.Anyone had any success get a better deal with them ?Thanks all0

Hello everyone. I have just had my monthly bill from Sky increased by around £50. I want to haggle them down with a new deal but can't get through to a human being. The best I can do is say 'cancel contract' and they give me an option to cancel by pressing a number on the phone. I don't actually want to cancel although I will change to Virgin quite happily if they don't give me the same deal as new customers. I also don't want to lose service so if I have to cancel I will want to have already got a date for installing from Virgin. Does anyone have any contact details like a direct dial or extension, or know what to say to the virtual attendant on the phone to be able to speak to someone to haggle? Many thanks everyone.0

Out of contract got an email from Sky saying they were knocking £4 off my bill - fair enough with no haggling. Wanted Sky Q NOT multiroom. Best price I could get on the website was £99 for installation. Called them, first CSR I spoke to wouldn't give a better price asked to speak to someone who maybe could do something better after a short wait (surprisingly) very helpful lady came on and said she could do installation for £20 - Happy days0
