In regards to claiming back from Natwest, do they send you a letter? Email? Text? Anything to say when they are sending the money?! I’ve been told that they have until 08/02, but to expect it before then. I just don’t know if they drop it into my account or I’ll get prior warning.

    Thanks

    Help neede.
I found some statements from Janet Frazer going back 1993 - 2001. On the statements was a payment every month with extra care insurance. I have since moved in with my now Husband and as it was his house ALL Utility bills are in his name. The only things I have at his address are my bank statements/Credit card statements and my driving license. Shop direct have told me that unless I produce documentation from the government eg H.Benefit, Council Tax, Inland Revenue Letter, Utility Bill, then I cannot make a claim. I told them to do a credit search on me and they will see where I live, I did answer all there security questions by the way eg DOB,Address and I even gave them my catalogue number.
Has anyone else had this problem
    Thanks

Hi, yes, they wrote to me and explained they had found the accounts which I had first discussed with them over the phone. The call consisted of them asking me lots of questions about the ppi and what I could remember. The whole process took about a month from the start to them paying me, straight into my bank account.

I filled in the form on the NatWest website regarding a few loans and credit cards I had with them between 98-08.

Didn't expect much as I couldn't give many details and don't have any records, after a couple of weeks I got 12 text messages saying they were investigating my complaint - each text had a different reference number - a week or so later and 10 text messages arrived saying that a letter was on the way detailing the outcome of their investigations - again each text with a different reference.

Last Friday I received a letter offering me £2700 which I promptly accepted. The other offers have now arrived and we're up to just shy of £20000 with 2 credit cards still being reviewed.

All dealt with by RBS- NatWest in just over 3 weeks (made the initial complaint 4th Jan).

Just got to wait until they acknowledge my acceptance (7 days or so) and then up to 28 days for them to process payment.

Today has been a good day

With respect, this redress (along with all your payday loan success from last year) indicates that you were in a massive amount of debt.

How ever did you pay it all off?

Robbed Peter to pay Paul tbh, got into a right old mess when I was younger and more foolish

A house sale paid the vast majority of them off, a lot of the PPI is historical - earliest around 93/94, a lot of it is interest - nearly 50 percent of the £2700 for example.

To be honest, without the house sale I don't know what would have happened. I wouldn't have been able to cope

I filed a complaint to Everyday Loans about PPI. We were told we needed it to be accepted for the loan etc etc.

We went direct to them and got turned down then went through Resolver.

Anyway they did not uphold the complaint as it was our word against theirs. We tried the financial ombudsman who also did not uphold.

Anyway came home to a letter from the FO stating they find the plevin thingy in our favour and are refunding us £187 We need to sign to accept and they will make a BACCs payment.

I know it’s not a fortune but it’s £187 I never had so a bonus there when I thought we were getting zilch :T

Still waiting to hear from TSB but am not holding out much hope TBH. Had a phone call about 2 weeks ago checking further information and a text to say they are nearing the end of their investigations.

We will see what that throws up.

Claimed from Barclaycard last year and was unsuccessful as they felt that I'd been properly advised at the time of selling. This year, they wrote to me and asked me to re-submit my application in light of the Plevin ruling, so I did. They wrote to me advising it was taking longer than they anticipated to look at my complaint. Then last week got a text saying they'd paid but didn't say how much i.e. claim successful. Really thought they'd be like here's a tenner, off you go. Checked my bank account later that day.... £2,400 paid in by Barclays. I've not had any paperwork so no idea which account this relates to (had a Barclaycard and an Egg card).

Success! Now submitting for the other 17 accounts I've managed to dig up....:j
