I just got this Questionnaire, it's 12 pages for me (6 double sided), I'm concerned they are just trying to put people off or trying to get people to trip themselves up.
I've got no idea how much PPI I've paid, could be £1 could be £10,000, I just found a random letter in the bottom of a filing cabinet telling me I had it on a credit card 15 years ago.
I'm not sure if I should use the resolver tool or complete the form and send it back to Halifax?
You are making a complaint alleging a wrongdoing. Did you give them enough evidence and info when you made your complaint?
How are they expected to evaluate your complaint if they have no information? This is why they send the form. The banks use their version of the FOS form. Resolver will not change anything and you have already made your complaint. So, using that will just create extra work.
If you want them to consider all aspects of your complaint, you fill the form in. If you want them to make a decision with no information then dont fill it in.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. So I have had a success with a PPI claim but I have been paid way more than I was expecting. The thing with PPI claims, in my limited experience of the three I have successfully claimed, is that you don’t receive any calculations or explanation of the sums decided. Of the three I have received: 1) was the amount I expected, 2) I wasn’t expecting at all and have no idea what the PPI was so have no clue whether or not it was the right amount and 3) I have been paid nearly double the amount expected. To add further confusion, I have received a letter from the same organisation that have just paid me number 3 asking for all of the information so they can process the complaint. That could be an admin error but I am going to phone up and provide all of the information again in-case there was more PPI on it – I just don’t know? Or maybe I’ll get paid the PPI again – who can say?! The whole thing is a mystery… If I have been overpaid PPI – can they take it back? Without an explanation of the payment calculations am I right to do with the money as I like without there being any repercussions if a mistake is later identified?

On returning from holiday had two cheques totalling £5,500 from Capital One waiting in the post. it has covered the whole trip!. It is the best ever return for 1/2 an hour filling in forms on MSE over the Christmas break - I am so glad I did this!
We had applied through Gladstone Brooks in 2005 and failed to get anything back. I then received a letter in December from a company representing Capital One to say we may now be eligible under new conditions . They :jreferred me to MSE to fill in The forms. To be honest I was sceptical so didn’t give chapter and verse in my form filling , after all if a company who had a ‘No win no fee promise’ couldn’t secure funds would I have any better luck?
Well I did and I would urge anyone wh9 has tied before and bee; unsuccessful to try again.0 -
I have today returned from holiday to find a total PPI claim for 6200 for NatWest loans taken out back in 1991! NatWest declined my claim so went through the ombudsman and 2 weeks later this is the result! It was for a loan that I had reconsoludated 4 times and have got PPI on each of the loans! When the initial claim was rejected NatWest sent me loan agreement no for 2 of the loans! Complete shock that it!!!8217;s been successful. I thought it was too late to chain and had no paperwork.0

I have a 20 year old PPI claim. I'm wondering what the likelihood of success is. I have my signed part of the original loan agreement and original bank statements showing the monthly payments being made for almost every month. Does anyone know if I could be successful? I've not posted before so I'm sorry if I've replied to someone instead of posting something new!0

Firstly, congratulations. Secondly can I ask what your grounds were for claiming? Well done again.0

So been waiting patiently to hear from Creation re Plevin only to discover i hadnt' actually managed to submit it due to a glitch on their website :embarasse
Anyhoo in the meantime Capital One contatced me to advise i had a success under Plevin however it was being used to offset a previous full and final payment  Well as that was for £150 i wasn't too upset.
On Saturday i returned home to find an offer from NRAM totalling £5417.39 :dance::dance:
Acceptance in the post and will countdown the next 28 days for payment.0 -
When I was told it wouldn't cover me if I became pregnant I told them I didn't need it and was told that I would need to take it to obtain the loan. I also took out another loan a year later to consolidate some debts and I wasn't even asked if I wanted it and didn't even think about it because of what I was told when obtaining the loan the previous year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time0
