    Our first success!!!!!

Had a letter from Cap One yesterday morning saying that after investigation have decided to refund the full amount of PPI premium - yippee!!!! Had only sent a letter of to Cap One, no questionnaire, so a quick turnaround.

The total offer of redress consists of £2067.14 in premiums, £37.63 in associated interest and additional 8% £751.06, which totals £2855.83.

I don't want to sound greedy, but the £37.63 in interest seems very low - does this sound correct to all you mathematicians out there?

Thanks to all your help on this website, actually gave me courage to confront the banks, thank you.

Wonderful work :T:j Well done and Congratulations!

    Hi,

was this a loan or credit card?

When did it start and end?

What was the interest rate for the loan/credit card?

If a credit card, do you have an agreement that shows how they applied payments made? (as in what order were the following paid - purchases balance, balance transfer balance, cash balance, ppi premiums)

£37.63 in interest sounds VERY low on £2,067.14

    :(

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

  • Hi all,

First success with Santander this week sent in the Questionnaires for my Topman and Burtons card and got a phone call 2 days later no arguments just refunded straight away!

Just awaiting Natwest to come back to me now which should clear the full balance of my loan which would be fantastic! :)

    Hi all,

do Barclays still own Barclaycard Masterloan, or have those accounts been sold to someone else?

apparently they still come under barclays but separate if that makes sense-im not getting anywhere with them and looking to take it hire as not even the manager can help - no one cant find me on the system at barclay card (as i closed the account in 2008) YET barclays bank can and gave me the 3 card numbers i had.

Yippee!!! Got a letter today to say that I had won my reclaim from Virgin/MBNA!!! I used Belmont thornton so in true service from them I have 4 days to send the form back before the due date and have no idea what the offer is....

I'll phone FOS tomorrow to see if I can send the letter direct to them and I guess I will have to phone Bel Thorn or MBNA to get my figure but so pleased. Its worth waiting for a response

Fingers crossed LTSB come thru for me too....
