Yippee!!! Got a letter today to say that I had won my reclaim from Virgin/MBNA!!! I used Belmont thornton so in true service from them I have 4 days to send the form back before the due date and have no idea what the offer is....

I'll phone FOS tomorrow to see if I can send the letter direct to them and I guess I will have to phone Bel Thorn or MBNA to get my figure but so pleased. Its worth waiting for a response

Fingers crossed LTSB come thru for me too....

    Hi all,

First success with Santander this week sent in the Questionnaires for my Topman and Burtons card and got a phone call 2 days later no arguments just refunded straight away!

Just awaiting Natwest to come back to me now which should clear the full balance of my loan which would be fantastic! :)

Well done on your success - but having problems with Santander with old store cards, roughly what year did you take our your Topman and Butons cards and was it originally with G E Capital Bank? Hope you don't mind me asking.

No details of my Credit Card that I opened with them a couple of years ago which I was expecting, although I have never paid PPI on this account and no info on a loan I had with them, which I was hoping for. Finished paying back this loan over 6 years ago but have no info re: account number or indeed whether PPI was included. I thought a SAR meant they had to give details of ALL accounts held. The fact they didn't send any info on the credit card leads me to think they havn't sent everything. What do I do now?

SNOTTY E-MAIL TO CEO, A BIT OF EDITING ON YOUR POST ABOVE CUT AND PASTED . JOB DONE :j:j
    GOOD LUCK :A:A

Thank you so much for the detailed reply and advice!

I am now composing my e-mail to the CEO and just need to ask the wonderful Di for the correct e-mail address.
Do you think that I should mention that i request an early response (i.e. within 7 days) or I will consider asking the Information Commisioners Office re: what should be supplied to me under the Data Protection Act or will this just get their back up?

Regarding the PPI re-claim on the chargecard and my agreement: Yes it says quite clearly that my occupation is 'Civil Servant' employed by the DHSS! Sooo!

My reasons for mis-sell are: The question about PPI is worded in a deliberately mis-leading way (even when I read it again now I have to read it very slowly and word for word to form the question correctly IYKWIM!!) and the fact that it was sold to me by a saleslady who did not check with me that the insurance was necessary or appropriate, even when I quite clearly showed I was a civil servant. Surely any training she had received re: store card selling and PPI would tell her that PPI is unnecessary for public sector employees. At the time she did not ask any questions re: pre-existing health issues which may invalidate any potential claims. Is this enough?

I may pop into Marks to pick up a current application form for a Chargecard just to see how the question re: PPI is asked now. Wonder if the wording on it has changed?!!!!

    Thanks again for your help!:A

    I will keep you updated!

Well done on your Santander success, I know that a few of us are having major problems with Santander over Debenhams store cards. Was your cards taken out prior to 2005 and applied for in store for the usual 10% off if you sign in store today offer? Thanks in advance as this would greatly help our fight with Santander:beer:

Again well done, every penny counts and its the principal of it at the end of the day, and better in you're own pocket than their's.

Hope the above info help too, fingers crossed x;)

Thanks again Di for the reply and advice.

I am going to e-mail the CEO re: the SAR request. I quite clearly requested details of all accounts and associated accounts held by them (used the SAR request template from this forum!) but the letter they sent me states that they have sent everything relating to just one account!! Think they are trying to fob me off with this! If they had sent the info that they hold in relation to the other credit card that I opened with them only a couple of years ago and is still open then I probably would have thought that was that but as it is they have my agreement going back 25 years so I'm thinking they hold a lot more information than the few bits of paper that they have sent. Hopefully I will get a response from the CEO and details of the Loan I had with them!!

Do you have the correct e-mail address for the CEO at M & S Money by any chance? Pretty please!!!! :A
