I've never had a problem with e2save so far, but my cashback documents have been returned to me as I sent them in "too early".

I specifically stated that I am claiming for month 6's cashback in the covering letter, and also stated that I hadn't received the automatic cashback which I was supposed to have received in month 2. On the My Account area of e2save's website, it states that I needed to send my February bill, which I did within 28 days as specified.

Any advice on what I should do? Do I take these muppets to court? They don't reply to my emails, and calling the 0871 number will cost at least 10p per minute to resolve, and sending the paperwork by Recorded Delivery costs at least £1. The automatic cashback I should have received is £12, and the remaining month 6, 9, 12, 15 & 18 cashback amounts I qualify for is £34.01. Not the best of deals, but seems like more hassle than its worth.

Am considering on filing a claim for the full amount via the Money Claim Online, as they've failed to pay the £12, and saying I'm sending paperwork too early.

hehe, I nearly forgot to mention this, and it still makes me chuckle to this day. When I signed up with e2save they messed up big stylee and after being on hold for 1 1/2 hours on the 10p/ minute rate line I got promised a free in car charger for all the hassle. I didnt want it but thought, well at least their making a goodwill gesture. To cut a long story very short, needless to say it didnt arrive and after many more calls and emails (probably amounting to £15) I finally wrote it off as a bad job. I'm normally very persistant with stuff like this but I had to give up in the end for the sake of my mental health hehe. I asked to speak to the zoo keeper instead of the monkey's when I called up once and funnily enough that didnt go down well but by that point i was beyond caring. Their a bunch of cowboys and looks like the small claims court is going to get pretty busy rather soon..... I plan to call them again next week and I will be recording with a dictaphone exactly what they say. This way they can not dispute that I have done anything wrong. For the sake of £20 from the argos catalogue may I suggest that any other nervous types out there also make the same investment. Just a thought :)

Keep that safe and use it if they subsequently refuse a claim because of your sending it there!
  • Sent claim on 10th to Crewe, checked on RM site says delivered 12th in Loughborough

I rang e2save customer services earlier on and the women said to me that I have to send my claim in by the 19/3, which is tomorrow. But my bill date is the 26th of each month so surely I have 30 days from the 26th not the 19th as stated in my T&C's.

Anyway just to make sure I sent it off special delivery today she also give me a new address with post code LE11 9EL and she said all future cashbacks will be directed there I know I am right with my T&Cs so just have to wait and see what they say now.
  • Emails don't suffice. Ultimately you need to send a LBA by post. No harm in trying emails, but don't hold your breath or you'll be long dead before you resort to the almost certain course of action. These people no longer understand t&c or common sense unless dragged to it kicking and screaming, when they seem to offer gestures of so-called "goodwill" - subject (even then) to your complying in future with the way they work rather than the actual contract you signed up to! At least you DID get replies to your email - though I'd take off the link on here which states your real name when clicked upon. Never wise to disclose too much openly to the company, that alone anyone else! Lol!

    Hi MJ

Thanks for the advice but it looks like a few emails have worked this time  :T

Sent my claim form on 7/3/08 to PoBox462, Crewe, CW1 9DY address.

Royalmail tracking is showing it was delivered on 12/3/08 from LOUGHBOROUGH delivery office.

    No TXT or cheque yet.

What is best email address to use to contact e2save these days?

    My E2Save terms say:

    1. Enclose the appropriate airtime bill
    2. Enclose the appropriate chequeback voucher
    3. Enclose a covering letter with your contact numbers
    4. Send the claim via recorded delivery

I wouldn't trust these people at all. They can only survive if a large percentage of people fall outside the cashback eligibility, and so even sending Special Delivery is actually outside their T&C's.

I have been chasing them up over a missing cashback (now paid) and they told me that they stopped sending text confirmations. My contract is due for renewal next month and they must have called me six or seven times already. Each time I've said I wasn't going to renew due to cashback problems and the fact that their sales number picks up in 5 seconds, their cashback help number in about 20 minutes.
