My OH is in hospital in intensive care

I know the reason for going to the doctor was not a good one but WOW, Mr Victory went to the doctors :T :T :T
That is a huge step in the right direction.
Thanks torbrex your encouragement is greatly appreciated, we had to get a late appointment simply because OH cannot get dressed/moved/turned/sitting up/ out of bed washed in any kind of hurry so we need a lot of time to work up to the docs appointment, it probably took up a good 4 hours to get it all sorted, when OH came back he was knackered and had to sleep for a while ,energy drained, has not spoken much this evening either but yes absolutely WOW;);)0 -
awww, he is getting there, slow but sure xxTreat other's how you like to be treated.

Yes he is thank you, it is very time consuming what to us comes as normal, just for example putting your socks on to how long it can take/put off/energy gone/will get round to it later/ I need to stop for lunch/have I taken my meds/shall I do it for you? to not bothering because OH is not going out anyway and to have all that for the sake of putting for eg your socks on he can't find the yearning need to finalize the task:)0 -
I know he is worried about friday, what it could be the blood and the crackling, he keeps coming up with scenarios, we could sit here all day today, tomorrow through to friday thinking what it all could be, whethr he needs an op (suggested today but no firm facts so just bandied around) an x ray another CT scan, the list of what he could have and what it could be could be endless, all I keep trying to say to him is wait, wait until we know.
I know he is fed up and frustrated and wants to know, wants to be free of the TV and out there, wants to get back to his hobbies and work, I just have to keep telling him to wait, time will heal, time will tell us what friday brings, OH feels at the moment that he can't improve because he never expected the GP to be so firm that the healing is not going as OH had thought and needs investigation.
It is what it is as I always say and we will deal with friday as we can on friday:)0 -

Thank you, yes it is, apart from the glitch we have now which friday will give definete answers to, the rest is time, healing, obviously the blood is a bit of a problem, needs investigating and the crackling but we shall see:)0 -

Just wondering how the visit with the chest specialist went on Friday
Thanks for asking:D OH had his spirometer test and cannot deep breath so well, shallow yes but his diapraghm(sp) is not allowing a full breath in and so has more exercises to do for 2 weeks to see if he can improve and give more time for the healing process.
Originally we were warned of a lung collapse or pneumonia but I think that has past now over 2 months down the line that is not such a concern, what is the lungs not being able to fill up with air completely.
As for the bleeding, much higher dosage meds, also leaving that for 2 weeks unless something else develops within those two weeks it is really a waiting game, a body healing waiting game to see if it all improves.
I know OH was bitterly disappointed and had to be talked down for a long while (how well he is doing/how in 2 weeks time everything will be better etc etc) but he seems to have had to accept it and we have to get on with it, it was not terribly good news but better to be positive than negative, that negative lark doesn't get us very far;)0 -
Victory it must be so difficult to play the waiting game as I am sure OH is frustrated which in itself doesn't help.
Well done on everything you have dealt with so far.
Hope the boys are coping better now dad is at home and can see progress etc.
