It's supposedly a rolling program to transfer people onto the new plans, you might hear from them quickly, you might not.
Would really like to hear what others have done, who they have moved to.
All good things come to an end *sigh*0 -
Thanks, just wondering who to move to, as have no landline or broadband at home, and the unlimited tethering was great.

Three is still really the best for tethering, you're just limited to 4GB a month now.0 -
Don't they legally have to contact me before rolling me over?
Not 10% sure what you are asking..
You signed up for a monthly plan with a 24 month minimum term, nothing changes in a few weeks only the minimum term requirement has passed. Three don't need to contact you at all to move to this part of the plan.
Three WILL need to contact you if this wish to change the plan, and as has been mentioned I suspect you'll get it after you pass the minimum terms as at that point they only need to give you a 30 day notice period. It may be they check on the 1st of the month for all to passed the minimum terms and contact them all in one go, or it could be trigged by the end of your 24 month minimum term.
Changing the plan before you hit the minimum term could give you a better case for compensation if the change would affect you.0 -
So which network are people moving on to?
I'm considering GiffGaff for their 4G £18 goodybag as it gives you 5gb of data which can be used for tethering. My only concern is that people say the data speeds are slow as O2 keep a lot of bandwidth for their own customers.
OR
TalkTalks 30 day £11.25 tariff which gives you 6gb of 3G data which can be used for tethering. My concern is it uses the Vodafone network and TalkTalks customer services.
Both of the above would be easy to leave as they are only 30 day contracts and I can always go back to Three if they turn out to be rubbish.Cashback earned
Quidco : £858
Pigsback : £20 and a Beatles CD.0 -

EE
I'd rather pay a little extra for the best 4G network in the country (luckily I have managed to get a 40% discount so won't really be paying much more).
10GB data including tethering, unlimited calls and texts, perfect high speed 4G almost everywhere I go, visual voicemail, wifi calling coming soon, VoLTE coming in the near future.====0 -

Having recently tried and compared several networks including giffgaff the only real options IMO are EE and Three for good data on the move. Giffgaff is dreadful unless you can guarantee 4G all the time which should give you about the same as d/l speed as 3G on some other networks if you're lucky. That said many will spend more time on giffgaff 3G which due to the limited bandwidth it rents and lower mast congestion priority results in slow to unusable data for many during the day.0 -
Hello
My 3 contract ends in a few weeks.
The upgrades people suggested I do nothing if I wished to avoid losing the old unlimited plan I have. I would lose my discount though that I get. They also said the text/letter is computer generated (and so the computer picks who it applies to?) they could not tell me if I would get the text/letter, so will wait and see.
What has been everyone else's experience........
Has 3 stopped moving people over? We don't tether at all so wonder if that is why, although would like to keep the option of tethering if possible!0 -

No, it's a gradual process so just luck of the draw when you get the letter.====0
