Got all the forms done (including one that had to be done by a counter-signatory). Photos signed, tracky bottoms found and packed (for the physical test) and all the required forms of ID all placed neatly in one envelope.

Just got to psyc myself up for the journey (I hate trains & busses as I am not in control of them).
By 17:00 tomorrow, I'll be on my way home.

  • Welcome to all newcomers and a happy new year to everyone.

I have been a little under the weather over the last week or so, sorry I haven't posted in a while. Just popped on to say I needed to dip into my EF and I'm back to £9.40 something, I am hanging on for payday by my fingertips and have listed some items to sell which will hopefully boost the fund again soon.

It's great to see a lot of members still managing to put money away at this time of year, I hope to follow in your footsteps soon.

Patman very best wishes for tomorrow, you couldn't be more prepared sending all good vibes your way.

    Happy saving everyone MB x

January is tough for me this month. I've got to travel 250 miles home for my brothers 21st birthday! I have the money put to one side already for his gift, but will need to account for the petrol and pay for our share of the birthday meal. Then it's MIL's birthday too

And I bought a fair bit of stuff in the sales....

I've already put money in for this month, but I'm cautiously hoping for an extra £30 spare at the end of the month, to take it up to 25%. Once I clear some of my debts I can start to up the payments :D
  • At last, something positive to report with money put into my EF:j. Was getting worried that after my initial deposit in December nothing else was happening.

Contacted Scottish Power about a new tariff and decided to reclaim the money that I have in credit from a combination of when they upped my DD last time and me being super-frugal with electricity usage. The new DD is a lot less than the old one anyway so I've withdrawn the £170.70 credit and hope we don't have an arctic winter so that my new monthly payment doesn't cover it. Scottish Power are really going through the mill at the minute, I never see anything good about their service anywhere, but I was absolutely delighted with the speed and efficiency with which they dealt with my account. She said money would be received into my bank account within 5 working days but it was there overnight on the same day:T.

So that, plus a bit from selling books on Amazon and a couple of survey payouts to make it up to £200 are heading straight to my EF account. Total now £300 so I feel a lot happier today. Won't be there long though, car repair looming:mad:

Congratulations everyone for results so far, and good luck in making/earning more:beer:
