  • Hoipolloi, I'm just going around the house and putting aside the loose change. Even if it's a couple of quid then it gets the fund going.....

  • I just had to empty the £200 I had in my emergency fund :(
    Oh well, chin up, boobs out and start again in Jan

    Congratulations on becoming debt-free:T, the relief must be immense. Can't wait for my DFD but it isn't until autumn 2019:eek:. At least I know that the worry and anxiety will end one day:j.

    Well, just as things were beginning to look up, I had the news today that my job has come to an end as of Friday.

    Emergency fund will be frozen at current levels as I work out my next move.

    oh patman, that's not good especially at this time of year but as one door closes another one opens, so finger's crossed it's not too long until you work out what your next move is.

  • Sorry to hear your bad news, patman. Not the best time of year to lose your job but then, no time is good. I'm sure everyone on this thread will be hoping you find something else soon:beer:.
  • So sorry Patman life does hit us hard at times, like others I really hope something comes along soon.

    I have had to transfer £10 from my EF as I forgot the chimney sweep was coming, it gets worse he said it was a botched job by previous owners and has condemned my log burner :mad: I shall now have to save like mad to have it fitted safety. I had visions of a roaring fire at Christmas with friends and family enjoying roasted chestnuts:( oh well I shall count my blessings and be thankful that my central heating works and I will share Christmas with loved ones:)
