Another £20 added to the pot. Got a nail in my car tyre...£207 later and my emergency car tyre fund is depleted!! Still that's what emergency savings are there for. ;)

That's a shame about the damaged tyre but, as you say, at least the EF was there to be used:)

My old car is booked in for its MOT on Wednesday morning so goodness knows what state my EF will be in by the time I actually get it passed. There's nothing wrong with it that I'm aware of myself though;)

Blimey mossy, that's one expensive tyre. I pay around £60 each for my Avon winter tyres.

A grand total of 9p interest added to my EF :rotfl: so it now stands at £105.14. Won't be able to pay money in again until August but at least £105 saved in a couple of months is £105 I didn't have before :)

    Well done to all savers:beer:

I did a car boot sale on Sunday and made £43.20 after fees. Goodness knows how as I was selling some real tat:o. Also received £23.20 from a survey site and £4.94 profit from a book sold on Amazon.

That's a total of £71.34 since I was here last but I had to spend a bit of it so am adding £54 to my EF. Makes it a nice round £650.

Getting there slowly:j. MOT due on Wednesday morning so I'm keeping everything crossed that my EF won't be wiped out again afterwards. At least I've got the money now, no panic necessary;)

Haven't done a bootsale for a few years.

Anyway, it's that time of my life again when my contract is nearly up. Unless my boss decides to extend it, my contract will end on July 22nd.

I have, however, been proactive and have a job interview next week for a caretaker/handyman role. This is something I enjoyed doing before. The wages are lower than I currently earn, but I will stick in a claim for WTC to boost my income.

  • Good luck with the jobs, Patman. I hope you get whichever one suits you best:beer:.

My car passed its MOT on Wednesday with no recommendations for things that will need doing in the near future:j:j:j. I'm so relieved even though I didn't think there was anything wrong this time. I'm always full of trepidation with such an old car:eek:

EF remains intact:j. That's a refreshing change for me especially where cars are concerned;)
