Well, I have had my contract extended to August 26th so that gives me a potential 5 more Saturday mornings.
I must get round to re-adjusting my signature as it does not reflect my actual EF total.
Anywa -Selene lets hope the car is a cheap fix.
Speaking personally, I had to have a new Con2000 unit (the one that has all the switches poking out of it behind the steering wheel). A new unit would have cost me over £450 plus fitting. I got one 2nd-hand for £42.
Total bill was less than £100.Never Knowingly Understood.

#112 checking in, current balance has gone down to £145.00 , hada bit of a spend on items that I have wanted for some time so everything bought was paid for with cash. Now happy to do a lot of saving to get my savings back up. Also just found out that one of my jobs is now going to pay the "Living wage", any increase will go straight to the EF.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.000

Has anyone else found they don't want to use their EF for anything? I have to replace 2 phone screens and an ipad screen and don't want to use my EF!I know that's what it's there for but still...Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

It will be a much cheaper fix than anticipated, patman - a new rocker shaft gasket is setting me back £75 :j Including today's investigation and diagnosis this means £140 total, seems reasonable to me. On top of that he was polite, helpful, and explained the problem concisely - was very impressed and if all goes well on Friday I will be keeping him as my regular mechanic :T
I have £40 in the EF so at minimum I need to find £35 that isn't sitting in savings, although will try to avoid depleting the EF further and aim to find £75.
cheesedoffwithdebt Welcome to the thread, patman will be along soon with your challenger number
Toomuchdebt Oh dear about the screens  Definitely agree with you though - as mentioned above I'm trying to find extra money to avoid dipping into the EF for the second time in a week, as I would much rather the balance went up not down
If you don't mind me asking, how did three screens all need replacing at once? Or did they all break at different times and repair/replacement has been put off until now?SPC - #483 [banked £134.15] - :staradmin :staradmin gold stars from Sue-UU!

cheesedoffwithdebt, you are very much welcome. You are member #197.
-Selene, glad the car was a cheap fix, although all the garages I use normally deduct the cost of the diagnostics from the cost of repairs.
Toomuchdebt, depending on how the screens got broken, you might be covered under your insurance policy.Never Knowingly Understood.

#196 checking in. I won't be able to add my usual £40 to my EF fund this month
the summer holidays are proving quite expensive, especially as DD appears to be having a growth spurt and is eating everything in sight! I've had to spend my "extra" £40 on food this month
I have however just got a new job so may be able to save a bit more when I start getting paid from there0
