That made me smile, amber
Nothing to do with money-saving but it reminded me of my grandparents who had a ''for now'' room:rotfl:. It was really one of their spare bedrooms but anything they couldn't decide what to do with (and people of their generation never threw anything away ''just in case') went into the ''for now'' room. You know, ''we'll put it in there just for now until we decide what to do with it''. Trouble was, it just stayed there like forever:rotfl:0 -
Sorry, so busy rabbiting in last post I forgot to say what I came on here for:o
Just received £85 for an online focus group and it's gone straight into the EF:j. Still only £130.20 in there but at least it's going in the right direction.
Well done to all you savers and commiserations to all who have needed to spend:beer:.0 -
I had to dip into my EF by 20.00 today, have to confess to adding up incorrectly, so overpaid by cc too much. I won't say what I do for a living
Anyway update in my signature will try and pay back in few weeks time

Thank you for my number so glad I joined this. it has made me think more about of how to spend the money if anything arises.. Like my MOT and service which is at the end of this month.
I decided that a I had the money to spend on booking this so I did it online and paid for the MOT and service with cash. I didn't like to see my money leave the account however I like it that I know I have paid for it with cash and not the credit card. Unfortunately I know there are repairs coming so I know I do not have enough to cover those so the credit cardmay have to come out if I can't find any spare cash to use. This has me thinking of ways to save money after I have saved the £1000 so it helps next year.
At the moment my fund is at £281.60 :T
As I am in work early, I'm going to find how to guide for MSEGood Luck everyone.

Hello, can I join please?
I'm already a part of the 3-6 month EF which I'm using as an emergency fund for vet bills, but am buying a new-to-me car to learn to drive (potentially this weekend if all goes well) and because I'd rather not be stung with astronomical repair bills and have no money to pay them, this 1k EF seems perfect for saving for car emergencies
I've opened a car savings pot which will be used for emergencies only (insurance and maintenance will be in a separate bank account) and have fed it with £5 to start it offSPC - #483 [banked £134.15] - :staradmin :staradmin gold stars from Sue-UU!
