Well, did the in/out tx to/from my TSB account and have accrued 44p in interest.
Quite pleased with that.
Just got to remember to keep doing the same thing each month in order to keep the interst coming-in.
Am thinking of closing my Zopa account but this will take around 3 years to fully close-down due to repayments.Never Knowingly Understood.

I put £80 in the savings account, so I am now up to £598. I thought I was going to need to use some of it on a very pricy dentist visit, but my Dad paid for it.£1000 Emergency Fund #175 - £598/£1000

Had a bit of good news yesterday. My work contract is being extended by another three months.
So, if I work every available Saturday, i can get in 11 lots of 4 hours at time and a half. That extra 66 hours will more than pay for Download and a big chunk of my holiday next year. It also takes me to a year's employment.Never Knowingly Understood.

Well I'm starting from scratch once again and have a grand total of £10 in my EF. SighDebts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

At least you had an ef when you needed it.
I know it's frustrating. I had to tx £100 out of my EF to cover a big sepnd on stuff for my mum (she has given me the cost back in cash, so no need to withdraw any more funds this week).
It is also looking likely that I might have to tx some more money over until payday comes around.Never Knowingly Understood.

Managed to put some more towards the EF(it'll all be going on car repairs so I should really put it in my car repair category but I want some money in the EF dammit!!)
So now £21.37/£1000.:rotfl: At this rate it'll take me 5 years to save up the £1000.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

Next months SO should see me hit target, assuming no emergencies crop up.
A big thank you to Patman for starting this thread, it has really helped to keep me focused. Congrats on your good news from work too Patman.

Just to say I'm back permanently now, it's good to see you all again:beer:
Congratulations to everyone who has increased their savings pot whilst I've been AWOL and commiserations and hugs to all who have had to spend theirs or are going through even tougher times than usual. Been there, done that (the spending their EF and going through tough times bit:o).
My EF was an essential cushion and I'm so grateful for Patman and this thread for giving me the incentive to build one up. One of the best financial decisions I ever made:T
Now to build it back up again. A few ideas in the pipeline, just need to get myself into gear.
I also had to ask Stepchange for a bit of a break for 3 months, just paying token payments of £5 a month per creditor. That £40 a month in total was a lot more helpful than the £732 a month I normally pay. It has set my debt-free date back by 3 months but I'm already 3 years in with the half-way point coming up later this year. I'm not happy about the situation, I just want to see the debt gone, but I'll just have to grin and bear it. Haven't adjusted my debt situation on my signature yet.
Onwards and upwards:beer:0 -
