You will get there Helen, you have the determination. :T we are all in it together. Imagine if you hadn't had the EF there to use, so well done for building the buffer initially.

Keep on, keeping on at it :D

Hi all. Labmum, you are member 185 and -Selene, you are 186.

DH sorry to hear yo are back at £0 again.

I must admit that I did a £200 tx out of my EF to cover any unexpected bills in the run-up to payday. This is now back were it belongs.

25th Wedding anniversary fund is at £207.76, so only got to find another £200 to clear the balance. This might come from a few little cash-in-hand jobs if I am lucky.

    Hi

Thank you, I will take a look in my lunch time.

Only managed to add £2 today but that is better than nothing. I've now got in to a habit of rounding money down to the nearest £10 and transferring it over to my emergency fund.
My fund is now at £283.60.

Just checked my payslips for the last few months and as of my payday next Friday I'll have £240 in the credit union. Nearly 1/4 of the way there! :D

    Morning :j

At the weekend my husband and I sat talking about how we need a new car and he would like a new telly (boys and their toys) plus he'd been thinking of saving for the future (I was very surprised ) and he's not really happy on paying some of the car repairs on the credit card.. So I thought there's my cue to talk about money and what I have been doing :D

Told him I had joined here, already started the EF and that I had already paid the MOT and service with cash not Credit Card and he was very impressed, plus the extra saving I had been doing on the side for a new TV (he's been on about this since Christmas so I new this topic would appear sooner or later!) Needless to say he wants all spare money to go in to the EF and continue to save for the TV. So I am happy :T

My Emergency Fund is now at #184 £302.01

I want a new telly as well. Trouble is, the old one is still in full working order so won't get replaced until it breaks.

Anyway Meezel, your dh is most welcome to come and join us. There are too few of us blokes in here.

Spends since last being on are £50 for a car roof box and £72 for a set of roof bars to fix it too. I have a camping experience coming-up with 4 of us in 3 tents plus our kir. This will not all fit in the car, hence the expense.

I have had to use some of my savings for equipment for my son's Duke of Edinburgh award. I took out £100, but only spent £70 of it, so £30 is going back in the bank tomorrow. #175 - £598/£1000
