Effy, your son will gain a great deal of life experience doing the DofE.

One of our adult Leaders did the D of E up to the Diamond level (which i believe is the top one).

Anyway, car serviced today. Now just got to wait for the bill. Nothing major needed doing so that's a good thing.

Jobs for the week this week are to extent the slots in my 2nd-hand Thule roof bars so they fit my car. This is an easy job as have an angle grinder (or 3) and cutting discs so just a case of drilling the end hole then extending the slot up to it.
    Never Knowingly Understood.

    Member #1 of £1,000 challenge - £13.74/ £1000 (that's 1.374%)

    3-6 month EF £0/£3600 (that's 0 days worth)

I agree about the DofE, patman. Money well spent:T

I wish my OH was as handy as you, patman. You seem to be able to turn your hand to everything:j. You can come round here next please, I've a list a mile long of things that need fixing:(

My mum already has a list of jobs that will take me and my brother months to get through.

Oh well, I won't be expecting you round here any time soon then:(

Will just have to keep nagging OH , although as he was obviously trained at the Frank Spencer school of DIY it might be less hassle if I try to learn how to do more of the jobs myself:rotfl:

#45 checking in with the usual monthly update.

SO went over today [due on 22nd but it was a weekend] and I've reached my target. £1000 EF done

I'm going to stick around if that's ok. I'm going to keep topping it up so that there is a buffer to go with it and also to encourage everyone else along the way too.

A big thank you to Patman for setting this up, it really has helped the journey.

Keep up the good work everyone :D
