We know that Ed, she married you
Glad it went well xA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Just be better than you were yesterday.0 -
Mrs E was going away on a business trip this morning, so we woke up at 5 and then 6. My actual alarm went off at 06:45, but I hit snooze. By the time I woke up next, it was nearly 8!
Ah well, I feel better for it and managed to get into work less than 20 minutes late
Decided not to change boiler cover or S@ntander account. The boiler cover was too faffy and the S@ntander account will be needed for when our N@tionwide accounts kick the bucket in autumn.
Money transferred to pots, couldn't do a free spin offer as my H@lifax account is playing silly beggars.
Quite a busy day at work, meeting big brother E for a few drinks tonight (I'm teaching him matched betting!)
Happy hump day all
Edit: RM have attempted to deliver my Commonwealth Games tickets0 -
Hi E,
Good to hear you got some Commonwealth Games Tickets. It's a good job it's in Glasgow and not Edinburgh. The One Direction concert brought Edinburgh to a standstill. I don't think our roads were built to deal with traffic!
I hope your bro plucks up the courage for matched betting. it's good once you get the hang of it but a bit intimidating at the beginning.0 -
Just caught up, glad hospital was positive for you both.
Glad also you're not bothering with Homeserve. We had them for a while and had significant hassle when the plumbing leaked, never again! I wouldn't recommend them at all.
Hopefully your positive week will continue with a nibble on your job applications!Stash busting 2014 45 / 60 (balls of yarn)!

In the words of the immortal bard 'Oops I did it again!' :rotfl:
Woke up at 07:57 to overly loud music from downstairs (Lorde I think? It's a shame when artists that I'm trying to give a chance annoy me by being played directly through my floorboards when I'm trying to snooze!)
I had a good trip to the pub with big brother E, but my maths wasn't up to explaining matched betting (he studied it an university). We muddled through enough pints to come up with an understandable mathematical model for how it works. I don't think he was convinced (he's a bit of a x hours of work = y £ guy, not really open to z wacky scheme = x hours of work avoided).
In a move lacking in caution and thoroughly unlike me, I invested £1,000 in a clothing company beloved of Mrs E. I've always been thoroughly impressed by their business model and service and had often joked that we should buy shares as a hedge against future purchases. Well, when the share price dropped 40% this morning after a profit warning, I felt the need to dive in. It's already up enough to cover my dealing costs. We shall see
Job application #3 to be completed today, 9.5 miles to jog tonight.0 -
Love it. is that your first venture into buying shares?Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0
