That's because they want you to phone, making up various excuses why your right to cancel via the website can't be processed.0 -
Just 're-joined'! Had a call to offer 3 months free and then 9 months half price! 9 X £13.50 = £121.50pa instead of £324.00pa. No contract (cancel at any time) and the kids are speaking to me again!
Yep - got suckered in again but am a happy bunny!0 -
Can I ask, did you get this offer while sky was disconnected , or during the month's cancellation notice ? Just trying to gauge when this type of offer is likely, as I am waiting for a call back . Mind you , I have been out quite a bit so may have missed them anyway .Just 're-joined'! Had a call to offer 3 months free and then 9 months half price! 9 X £13.50 = £121.50pa instead of £324.00pa. Yes, while sky was disconnected. It had been disconnected for about a month. Hope you get the 'call' too.0 -

You'll continue getting offers for up to one year (as I did).
It all depends on how much they want your business. And with the advent of both BT Sport and YouView now offering viable alternatives, I would say that would be quite a lot.

I'm no legal expert, but I'm sure I read something not long ago that under Unfair Contract Law you must be allowed to cancel an agreement the same method you took it out.
i.e. If I bought my original Sky package online, I should be allowed to cancel it online and not be forced to ring them..0 -

There is ongoing complaints, the T&Cs give 4 ways to cancel, however try and cancel by the methods other than phoning will get template messages asking to call as some 'security' information is missing.0 -
I remember cancelling, via a premium rate number and they cocked it up and continued taking the DD (my fault - should have checked).
After my third call I said 'I want to make a complaint!' to which the advisor responded 'Yeah, right.' Click... duhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.0 -
Can anyone who is trying to cancel if they have read this thread report back on this:
When you email Sky to cancel please include all these details:
Full name including title and middle initials
address including town and postcode
password
date of birth
telephone password
Sky's contact telephone numbers and emails address
Please post on here if they still do not cancel the account with all these confirmed. TIA.0
